  1. Great win by Montreal. I thought Fowler kept them in there when it was 3-2 Islanders & then made saves when it was 3-3. It should have been 8-3 but wasn't. The NHL needs to get rid of these offside challenges & what ever else they challenge for.

It makes the linesmen look really incompetent & slows down the game a lot. Yeah it needs to go. If they make a mistake on a offside then they make it. This is really not good.

  2. Suzuki really is the heart of this Habs team. And watch Slafkovsky when Caufield scores – these guys are having a blast. AND I fear some wise commentator (who only played as far as Bantam) will try to tear down Fowler. Rookie mistakes, I guess, but the kid is very present and very, very fast. St. Louis has himself a goaltending force.

  3. Islanders looked like Habs the 3 games they lost defensive breakdowns in the 3rd . Congratulations Cole Caulfield 50 is in reach 7 to go . Kudos to Patrick Roy Challenging the 8th goal which was clearly offside .

  4. I couldn't be happier for Cole and Slav, but man, the leadership from Suzuki is unreal. Always driving the play.
And I get calling back a goal if it's offside, but I can't help but feel that was a d*ck move by Roy on his former player…

  5. Monster statement game for the boys. We finally got secondary scoring, and it was offside!

I was hoping we'd score 9 goals, so Patrick Roy could lose it and demand to be traded again LOL.

  6. Great to see the Habs rebound after that tough one against the Red Wings – and what a game!

Imagine the comments from Habs fans if it was Montembeault who allowed those goals.

  7. Reminds me of the Canadians when Lefleur was around in the 70's. The team would get a go ahead goal – Which would set them off like a firecracker to try and keep getting more and more goals, even though they don't need them.

  8. Patrick Stewart lookalike @5:31 in the building rockin a Habs jersey, smiling from ear to ear makes this highlights package even more special and a goal Caufield hatrick. Life is good Go HABS Go.

  9. Yeah it was offside so the goal shouldn't have counted. However these offside challenges are a 90% success rate when they do challenge for them. Which means Linesmen are missing 90% of offsides.

It's a huge issue because it really slows down the game. They need to get rid of these offside challenges.
