Danford continues to have the respect of the hockey world, time will tell what he is at the NHL level but at the junior level he knows his role and he’s one of the best in the league at it. Great to see Nansi as most improved in his conference, he shattered his previous season totals. Yeah he’s had an up and down season, but if he can consistently be the guy he was at the start of the season then he’s a very interesting prospect, especially taking into account how young he is.
I need this posted weekly. Hard to find silver linings in a dumpster fire
Treliving if isn’t fired will trade them for more uninspiring slow players that contribute nothing
Well shit leafs will likely trade him for older shitty dman because that is just what the Leafs love to do
As long as they can sell the leafs are SC competitors
I actually needed this news. I’m hoping that Hopkins, Nansi, Tingus Pingus, and Danford actually pan out, because this team desperately needs a win like this
Awesome. Can’t wait for the Leafs to give up on him, trade him for some garbage and then watch him play a top role for a rival team.
oh snaps. Somebody hide him from Brad Treliving.
There were plays in the world juniors where Danford showed he can very effectively play a shutdown role.
Tough for that archetype of player to hugely standout in a tournament like that. They’re playing with and against collections of very skilled and very amped up young players who aren’t used to playing together as a unit (for an extended version of time).
Systems aren’t super refined and the adrenaline for everyone adds an element of chaos to the games in WJC. Can create a perfect environment for an offensive player but makes it much less likely anyone puts together a whole tournament of lockdown performances.
Nice to see him really crushing his role with his regular team.
