DK’s Daily Shot of Pirates: A blah finalization?

1. DK, Mlodzinski was announced to be the starter, Sunday against the Mets, which would make him # 3 in the rotation. I thought he was the # 5 guy? How did he get put ahead of Bubba Chandler and Ashcraft?

2. I'm disappointed Garcia was sent down. The guy's ready. He was their best hitter this spring. He plays great defense, too.

3. New DH, 2B, and a guy in right field whose not an outfielder. Other than that it's the exact same team as last year

4. Morning DK!!! Can’t say I’m overly optimistic about this team. They aren’t going to scare anyone as far as run scoring goes. I hope they prove me wrong on a consistent basis. We will see.

7. Yeah the password is ready. He sat behind award winners in boston. Not so much here. They need to get that kid up. He could be RoTY. I do like a positional player future of nick, password, endy, cruz, griffin and johnson some day.

9. As an elementary school student in the mid-1960's, my go to doodle was drawing the Pirates "P," and I look forward to wearing the Gold P on Black Cap with pride again this season, #BeatEmBucs!

11. The gold P means "Hi…we're a BORING baseball team"……bring back the logo from the 70s (Smiling James Garner Pirate). They won CHAMPIONSHIPS with that logo…or come up with a different creative design that is not the equivalent of that horrid 2006 All Star Game logo….That looked like it was done by a bunch of 3rd Graders……and stop being cheap….

12. At the very least, the word “punt” doesn’t seem appropriate to this situation.

13. I like Yorke’s bat a lot, I can see him taking ABs from Gonzales quick and producing if given any actual run.

14. So the Indy lineup could look something like this (in no particular order):
    C – Rodriguez
    1B – Valdez
    2B – Johnson
    SS – Griffin
    3B – Brannigan
    OF – Callihan
    OF – Garcia
    OF – Valdez
    DH – Flores
    UT – Williams

    That should be a good lineup. Who am I missing?
