  2. I don't think it's unfair to say that no team has been more negatively affected by the MLBs draft rules than the Nationals.

    They seem to bite us every year.

  8. And this is exactly why you can't trade all your best players for prospects, as good as they might seem to be, as the Nats keep doing. Some work out, some don't. Not a way to build a winning team, as the team record the last number of years prove.

  9. Let's face it, there isn't a schedule that wouldn't be brutal for this team. This is 💯 an ownership problem with lack of spending.

    I also agree Bobby Barrels should be on the roster. Jacob Young is NOT the answer we need.

  10. Crews needed to be sent down because he has regressed mightily at the plate and needs to work on recognizing the strike zone and making better contact. He may need several months to gain confidence ss a professional hitter.

  11. They aren’t protecting Crews. They are putting the best players (not the best potential), but best players. Crews is not one of top OF’s. I’m not saying Crews is a bust, but he was rushed and they brought him up way too early, so he should be moved down for a couple of months. Make him dominate Triple A, then come up.

  12. The kid has 110 games experience. Are you kidding me. All young hitters struggle at first in the major leagues. Let him figure it out. The problem with the Nats is they want the young players to carry the team with no accomplished major league players to help them out.
