  8. This is truly an icy dagger to the heart. I can’t imagine the full scope of pain and loss suffered here, and I truly wish the best for those close to her in processing and recovering and missing these souls taken from the world. Check your fire alarms and have an action plan people, and I mean right now. Right now.

  11. I saw this last night and it felt like such a gut punch, even though I obviously didn't know/never met Jessi. I immediately wondered how the Purple Daily team would handle this, if you'd take a day off like a moment of silence, or if you'd power through it. You did the best thing possible; it's best to be honest, sad, and talk about it.

    Though I'd classify myself as a "temporarily paused" Vikings fan, I still listen to your show regularly because you guys are the top of the craft and have mastered how to build a community. Obviously, the community you've built is bigger than sports. There's a common thread of sports, but a much bigger common thread of shared experiences, in general.

  23. Knew of her through you guys and the spin off pod "Before I die". Incredible, sweet person and very entertaining. I feel so sad and makes me want to hung my Daughter and treat every day as special.

I doubt very much that this will find its way back to Mike, but I just want to say how truly saddened and sorry I am to hear this..I'm just a Vikings fan from New England, but obviously after watching many podcasts and following the team I stumbled upon Jessi, and after watching not even half of Judd Phil and Declan's episode today I was just overcome with tears. The impact felt around the world that someone can make is incredible, and her joy and spirit could be felt through the screen and this just feels so unfair…Mike you will be in my prayers this evening. I cannot possibly imagine what you're going through…please be kind to yourself and continue to find ways to honor them.

  30. I didn’t know her personally, never met her. Watched “Before I Die” when I saw it on my feed. I enjoyed her content. When I saw the news it absolutely gutted me. I remember seeing episodes where her kids would pop in for a random appearances. This is so very sad, my heart goes out to you guys and her family. RIP Jessi

  35. Read it in German news, Yesterday. They never ever report on foreign sports reporters, so I was drawn in on the headlines. After clicking I was totally devastated when I got aware it was Jessi and her kids. What a loss for all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. All four gone too soon. Will miss her voice and enthusiasm.

  45. This is so surreal I never missed an episode of Before I Die. Just one before I die No offense to purple daily but I looked forward to it every year when it came on and is my favorite segment. 💜 Funny the Hennepin bit I actually commented on it in the youtube comments when Jessi took it over that I loved it so yes you need to keep it going. She is gonna be so missed😢
