  1. Keith Pelley, Craig Berube, and Brad Treliving have destroyed this team. Hopefully when they clean house and hire Armstrong as president, we actually see some changes.

Mo and Carlo both need to go in the off-season via trade. They have to make a goal tending decision because you can't keep all three. They have to re-sign the RFAs, not qualify Maccelli and let the UFAs walk. On July 1st, make a play for Laughton.

  2. Berube has given up on the team, and the team has given up on him.

Do the players share blame? Of course, no question. But the fact that after the OT loss to Carolina where the Leafs got blitzed and outshot to hell and back AGAIN, Berube's big takeaway was "Woll should have made a save there" tells me that this is not a man who is serious about coaching the Leafs.

He's building his brand and getting some quotes out for his next coaching job. Hey, it's part of the business, do what you gotta do. But Berube is the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs in title only right now, so his input has EXCEPTIONALLY little meaning.

  3. It's not on your time, Adam. It's on Ed Rodgers' time. And he is the one who should be pissed off, however, he's probably in Dunedin watching the Jays.

  4. So you guys make Comments about the Leafs and the management everyday, but the COACH of the Maple Leafs can't call out a goalie who let's in a very saveable couple of goals because other the that he played good? I hope Berube does go. He can spend the Leafs money for the next couple of years, without having to put up with the BS surrounding this team. ROFLMAO

  5. Matthews and Nylander are toxic. They have no heart and only care about themselves and as leaders in that dressing room that spreads like cancer until you cut it out. Toronto will never have success while those two remain.

  6. They need to bench the stars more and let the others get more time on the ice to assess how they will fit (if they can) into the roster next year. This will allow the pressure to come off of the stars and time for the head office to make a point to them. If they are here only for the money, then they are tradeable. If they pull the "no trade" clause crap, fine, you will be played how we see fit and good luck with getting those career numbers for future contracts.

  7. Toronto should follow the Habs' model. New President, new GM, new coach, new amateur scouting team. Oh, and all of them are competent.

  8. Toronto is where coaches go to die. Why would anyone want that job after seeing their FO this past DECADE??? Berube is thr LEAST of Toronto's issues.

  9. Berube stubbornly trying to force an out dated dump and chase system that the entire league figured out years ago on a roster built for puck possession is just wild

  10. The team has no motivation
The players also should be looking for a new job and the new job should not be hockey
If u get deflated after giving up one goal then the players should look in the mirror they are professionals act like it

  11. The leafs losing wouldn't be bad if they had there 1st round picks leafs dont have there own 1st round picks just Colorado 1st from Roy trade. Berube should have been fired after Christmas break it was obvious back then the player's have quit on him and he lost the room

  12. That this dumpster fire went on ALL season is an absolute disgrace. Need a new President: Doug Armstrong, GM: Jake DeBoer, Coach: Manny Malhotra.

  13. It's the front office that's the problem. Matthews was supposed to be elite. He was elite…in the REGULAR SEASON. Now Marner's gone and, surprise, the team cant score for crap. Matthews has fallen off a cliff, everyone else quit trying, and Carlo is a traffic cone. What do you expect Berube to do? No coach is going to motivate or lead this garbage team to relevance, and this is coming from someone who wants to see them succeed. Enough of the coaching merry-go-round.

  14. Can’t lose what you never had….its clear Nylander Tavares Reilly and Matthews are content with collecting their paychecks in exchange for empty stats in the regular season

  15. Forget a retool, This team needs a full rebuild. The leadership on this team has demonstrated a constant lack of heart, no matter who’s coaching them.

No one sticking for Matthews was the final straw, I’ve seen more heart from house league teams.

  16. Berube lost control the Final 4 games against Florida with the big 4 dropping turds each game. It carried over to the current season when healthy they went 9-11 the first 20 games. Berube is coaching an Uncoachable team. He said a few days ago that many of the last Cup winners were dump it in and heavy forecheck teams and unfortunately for him the softies he has up front aint those type of players. You still have 4 Dubas players on that team and you’ll never win with them even though Tavares signed cheap and is at least trying at his age.

  17. 10:04 “nobody has that bonding team attitude” – take a look at the “Face Off” series, Nylander spent more time with Pastrnak than any other Leaf when they weren’t playing. I’m not a hockey player, but I’ve worked at some places and I’ve gone to dinners with coworkers cause I actually enjoyed hanging with them. Now obviously I know they can only show so much in an episode, but the fact how they didn’t even show a segment of him hanging out with anyone else on the team, I think that shows how the team consists of players playing on a singular individual level and not as a unit
