Honestly very bold by them. Just for reference, our highest ESPN WAR player last year was Dillon Dingler with 3.1.

  1. That’s awesome congrats to us- we did it!
(Predicting the MLB is truly a futile venture imo, but very excited to get this guy on the big stage)

  2. The last tiger position player rookie to hit 5 war was Austin Jackson unless im missing someone that’d be insane. Austin jackson was robbed of rookie of the year

  3. Nice conservative estimate so the storyline works better when he goes off for double digit WAR as a rookie 😤😤😤

  4. I’m curious where Hinch will place him in the lineup . He’s a prototypical leadoff hitter but I’m not sure they will place that kind of pressure on him just yet. Than again maybe the youngster can handle it

  5. I mean it is actually not completely crazy to think this kid might already be the best hitter on our team. If Greene has adjusted his approach from last year to make better contact and have better pitch selection it is probably him but I’m not sure that’s happening.

Players with this advanced of an approach at the plate along with elite contact skills and above average power don’t just grow on trees.

  6. That’s bold, but I love it. His defense will really have to translate if he’s gonna hit 5 WAR
