  1. Kinda a bummer that Pedez had to be sent down to Toledo , yes, Pedez, thats what Bobby Scales and Craig Monroe called him. Tho, id venture to say he wont be down there long, Meadows will bat 148 in April and sometime in May he will be put out to pasture and pedez will be back in Detroit getting clutch hits and showing that million dollar smile.

  3. Not so beautiful for Perez who got cut to make room for McGonigle. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I do not care who makes the team really. I want the best players to play. McGonigle is better than Perez so he earned it. If it were reversed, I would be okay with that too.

  4. Verlander has rarely been an effective early season guy even when he was younger. He could be cooked…age gets every athlete eventually…but too early to call it.

  5. I'm still trying to understand this. Is this about the Tigers going for it? I'm very excited to see what McGonigal can do with the bat. I also wanna know… can he play SS? If not… what good is he?

    Well practically anyone could win the central.
    I definitely take a wait and see attitude.
    Are they really that much better than last year?
    To me they have many of the same problems.
    Sorry but they haven't won a w.s. in 42 yearsand last years team was manic. You guys remind me of Charlie Brown and Lucy promising to hold the football every year for him to kick it.

  12. People are going to blast McGonigle if he struggles, but if Perez was up and he were to struggle they would have patience with him… Glad Perez was sent down instead of sending McGonigle down to start the year
