The most beautiful tribute to fallen teammate in baseball history 🩵⚾

In 2016 the whole stadium went silent to pay respects to José Fernández – Miami Marlins’ superstar, who died in a boating accident at 24 years old. His best friend and teammate Dee Gordon honored his memory in the most spectacular way. Wearing his helmet, he stepped into the batter’s box. Being left-handed, Gordon took the first pitch with his right hand, like Fernandez used to. He then switched to his regular stance and hit his first and only home run of the season

Rest Easy José Fernández
