Why the PERFECT Packers pick at 52 is NOT who you think (a CB, WR, or NT)
Packers fans are looking at a couple of key positions for Green Bay’s first pick of the 2026 NFL draft, but Damian Parson from Locked on NFL draft says the PERFECT pick doesn’t truly play one of them. We talk about that, the best cornerbacks, defensive tackles, and receiver targets for Green Bay.

Oline peter?
If the Packers aren't drafting corner in a deep corner draft, when there is no depth at corner on their current roster and only 1 corner is under contract after this season, then they would be dumb. We need 2 corners picked and 1 free agent corner.
The Packers will need all season to develop the 2 corners that will be starters in 2027. So THIS draft is THE DRAFT to reload Corner.
Gutes,? It could be a Long snapper with flashes
Golday, is going to be a no for me dawg. I'd be shocked if Faulk would be there, with that said I'd prefer Gabe Jacas due to better pass rush.
DT/NT that could be available for GB at 52 or beyond, big citrus and chris McClellan. I'd love those 2 at 52 and 120 respectively.
Nice day-3 CBs for GB; Domani Jackson, Devon Marshall, Ceyair Wright, and Andre Fuller
If they dont sign Reader then only actual 'hole' they have is at Nose Tackle. That bumps up the need for an early pick at that position… Miller, Hunter, Orange, Darrell Jackson, Capehart (Gil-Howard later in draft maybe). They have bodies at all the other positions even if you arent crazy about who those bodies are.
If they sign Reader they can go BPA at CB, IDL, OL and even double-dip in there. Also depth needs at LB, TE… even WR if you look ahead at who's nearing contract end. Not sure how you roster another receiver this year without a trade though.
They shouldn’t draft a receiver at all unless they actually did trade a Reed or wicks. Just wait till 2027 and get the positions you really need now.
Sure size matters and arm lenght hand size matters. What also matters is not to dissmiss real sucefull college football players who may fal short in one or two of those measurables like Peter does.
I'd rather sign a FA there are still guys out there who can get the job done. plus add the fact Guety was trying to add veteran leadrship to this very young team where that mission was un-accomplished as of yet.
I'd much rather draft a explosive weapon like RB Singleton who would rejunivate our run game day one.
Sorry 90 % of DT are not interesting.
Prospect wr guys that runs 4.3 or even low 4.4 they’re never as successful as guys run 4.5 or even 4.6…and wr comes all in sizes so 6-4 guy will never out compete a guy that is 6. Draft a wr 6-4 is more of miss than hit.
Why is Guty so high on Georgia Bulldogs?
But, that's the problem. We play too far off of the WRs. If we jammed the receivers more and still be able to stay with them, would be a great CB. We play off 5 to 8 yards, you will never stop a slant or run and cut in for 20 yards
One thing I notice with Love, is his eyes and body language sells to quickly who he originally intended to throw to, and takes to long to check down to the 2nd and 3rd receiver.
