ESPN’s Field Yates’ Bears Mock Draft:
– Round 1, Pick #25: Zion Young (EDGE, Missouri)
– Round 2, Pick #57: Jacob Rodriguez (LB, Texas Tech)
– Round 2, Pick #60: Treydan Stukes (DB, Arizona)

Field Yates on Bears & Zion Young:
“The Bears need to keep investing in edge rushers after tying for the worst pass rush win rate in 2025 (28.8%) and not signing any big-time free agents. Young would be a good fit here because of his play style. He uses heavy, power hands and his 6-6 frame to engage and run through offensive tackles.”

  1. Favorite Bears pick in this mock draft? Type ‘ZY’ for Zion Young, Type ‘JR’ for Jacob Rodriguez or Type ‘TS’ for Treydan Stukes

  2. There’s only 2-3 elite DTs this draft there’s about 525,000 possible elite edges and elite safeties in this draft. Hope they take DT first… then edge and S

  3. We can't draft old players that definitely isn't good and 25 to 26 year old is going to be great in college against 18 to 21 year old not going to be great in the pros.

  4. So we're on the fence about Mesidor who will turn 25 once the session starts, but like the UofA athlete who is 26? Whatever it takes for us to win!

  5. ***IF you draft edge in Rd1, the next 2 picks have to be DT and Center. There are some real good FS or SS options for Round 3, Taafe, Wheatley or VJ Payne. Round 4, I really like Kendall Daniel's. Pick up a 5th or 6th rounder, I wouldn't mind another bite at edge in Caden Curry. Couple of good blocking TEs in thr 7th, I like Ohio ST Kazcmarek. Last pick, either a RT with swing potential or another DT

  6. Garbage – fans and analysts are falling for it. Again. "Edge, edge, edge!!" NOOOOO This would be a horrible draft.

Edge is NOT the biggest need on the team. It is the INTERIOR DL. Dexter and Jarrett might be the worst starting DT combo in the NFL. They wouldn't be second string on either the Broncos, Rams or Seahawks.

Name the last super star Edge to win a Super Bowl? Von Miller……in 2015…..also playing next to an excellent DT in Malik Jackson.

Last 10+ Super Bowl winners? ALL of them had excellent to elite interior DL play. You fix the inside, and the edge play for Chicago is immediately better.

Great teams invest premium draft capital on the interior DL. Poles has refused to do that. And what do we get? Horrifying run defense and ZERO middle pressure. We gave up FIVE yards a carry. For the season. That was a whole mess of 2nd and 4, 3rd and 3. Teams could run the ball for a first down, and often did. It also provided very few "pin your ears back and rush" opportunities for the Sweat, Booker and even JTS. We couldn't get off the field last year if we didn't get turnovers, and that dried up in both playoff games, even when the ball was on the turf – recall Dexter, acting like he was covered in Crisco, smacking the ball out of bounds.

Come on, folks. Wake up. Interior DL guys are a force multiplier in ways other positions on defense just aren't.

Our prized free agents? Bryant and Bush? Guess what! Excellent interior DL guys in both Seattle and Cleveland. They keep the linebackers clean, clog up the middle, and force QB's into bad throws, if not into the arms of the edge rushers. Can't step up into a pocket that's not there.

  7. Rodriguez is only LB3 in this draft because he isn’t from Ohio state. He’s literally the best LB prospect in this draft and it’s not even close. Styles and Reese are not better prospects than Rodriguez in any way. Look at the stats, the combine and the tape.

  8. Treydan Stukes is the same age as Kyler Gordan and 1 year younger than Jaylon. Wtf is wrong with college sports. Do not draft stukes or messidor. They are grown men playing against 18-20 year old kids.

  9. Bears Will Go Interior DL Or Linebacker all these mfs talkinnnn shit but don’t comment there takes 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  10. If that’s our defensive ends we r fucked. Austin booker isn’t a starting de and rookie defensive end at 25 can’t be expected to make a big impact

  11. The Falcons traded for S Sydney Brown. The Falcons already had 2 starting safety's. How about trading for Jessie Bates?? One of the best Safety's the past 10 years. He just turned 29, but still had another great season. Byard was 31. Anyone interested in trading a 3rd rounder for a great safety in Jessie Bates? Plus the Falcons new GM is Poles former assistant GM. If we got Bates…business just picked up! BEAR DOWN!!

  12. Rodriguez has “the stuff,” I don’t know what it is but I saw it in Kyle Monangai and Colston Loveland. We should draft him 25th.
