Silver says the league will make changes before the draft

The changes will be starting next season. They’re just announcing the changes before the draft to let teams know the new rules before any team decides to trade their 2027 pick in the offseason
We only own the 2nd best of UTA/MIN/CLE, so we can’t tank at all next season
Likely not happening but if we make the playoffs, and MIN and CLE lose out in the play in, then this might help us as if both picks jump in the lottery with the new odds and rules, then we have a high chance at getting the 2nd best of those 2 picks at a higher pick than if they had the current rules.
Knowing before hand that this guy will likely try to screw us in someway, Silver can kiss my purple ass.
The “before the draft part” is almost certainly just to give team full information on future pick value before any draft night trades, not because they’ll be enforcing any new rules retroactively and applying them to this draft.
I still the think the whole thing is a massive overreaction a something that didn’t really need solving though. There are so many more important things Silver should be focusing on rather than tanking.
