Not gonna lie – I saw the first four names and while I was scrolling I went, "finally, someone paying attention to what Ace is doing lately!"

NBA rookie rankings: 10 players to watch ahead of the playoffs

  1. Also I think it’ll be crazy for Kon to win ROY over Flagg when they both had such good debut seasons but despite the stats I just don’t think it’s close really..

  2. Wow. They have the nerve to bring up Tre Johnson in honorable mentions, but not Ace.

Tre Johnson last 27 games – 12, 2, and 2 on 39% from the field, 33% from three

Ace Bailey last 27 games – 18, 5, and 2 on 45% from the field, 38% from three

At first, I thought that maybe Ace wasn’t there because the Jazz weren’t in the playoffs, when Flagg, Queen, Coward, and Demin were on that list

Seems like ESPN is anti Jazz after the Jazz (who were an organization that fed all their information to ESPN, like every trade the Jazz did these last few years have always had ESPN say “sources say the Jazz are in talks for…”) started sending their news over to Chris Haynes first recently, and after apparently the Jazz front office stopped talking to Windy, McMahon, and Bontemps, after Windy and Bobby Marks treated Ryan Smith like he was evil for tanking when other teams are tanking too

Like lowkey, I’d have Ace at 4th over Harper. Maybe someone could convince me that Maxime could be at 5th, but the lowest Ace should be in rookie rankings is 6th

I know I’m obnoxious with the Ace hype on r/NBA, but the Jazz are the least flaired team there, and the disrespect that Ace continues to get is something I feel like I have to convince r/NBA that Ace is good.

  3. Seriously, I’ve replaced ESPN media entirely. Their guys don’t know jack sh*t.

Listen/watch NBA front office podcast, Game Theory, and the Ringer guys. It’s not just endless terrible takes and “would LeBron be the best basketball player in space?” debates.
