This Isn’t The Same Cleveland Cavaliers…

Since the James Harden trade, Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers have looked like legit NBA contenders.

  1. Turns out that NBA trades only happen if both teams feel that they are benefitting from the exchange. We as a fan base really are sporting logically.

  2. I won't believe Harden will be a team changer until he' proves it in the playoffs. He never has before. And in case you're wondering, Harden has been one of my favorite players to watch in this generation of players. I just understand that he doesn't have that clutch gene in the playoffs. 🇺🇲 🏀

  3. Even if they dont win this year, they are getting LeBron (and I guess Bronny😑) next season; and with LeBron, Spida, and Harden next year they can easily win the East

  4. Appreciate you admitting you were wrong here. Curious to see how it all plays out in the postseason. Those will be the key answer on this team. Deepest best version of the Cavs since Lebron left. Could see them making a deep run regardless of the Harden playoff precedence. He hasn't played with a guard as good as Mitchell since prime Russ.

  5. As a Cavs fan I know this team isn’t making the conference finals and by the grace of god if they make it to the finals they’re not beating any team out west

  6. I said this at the time of the trade and I’m saying it again. This team has a 2 year window including this season. Spida has a player option after that and if they continued to see no results, he was going to leave. There are plenty of teams that will have the cap space to sign him including in markets that are much more appealing to a star like LA, Miami, or Brooklyn. This isn’t about shortening the timeline, their timeline is already short. This is the best roster they’ve had in years and have to prove it in the playoffs.

  7. Yes you were wrong indeed. Harden was great in LA, why wouldn't he still be mere weeks and months later? Harden is one of the best pure PG of all time. His vision, passes and creation are not to underestimate. I knew the Cavs would be real contenders after the trade.

  8. Cavs are first round out. I’m a Cavs fan and watch every game. It’s not going to work and we fucked up trading garland away. Our offense is poo poo town

  9. The only argument I will accept for the Cavs is Spida is a playoff riser to counteract harden fading. Additionally harden really could just run the offense and be fine here.

  10. Every year, every year it's like this, "maybe Harden would push thru this time", no he won't, people are too hard on Harden's choking magnitude but he does choke that part is inevitable.

  11. What Cavs have going for them is that they can play MULTIPLE styles for ex. if in a series the regular lineup isn't working they can keep either Allen or Mobley in the starting 5 and have bunch of shooters and play run and gun type more.
