  1. i at least respect that this team fought to come back at the very end. it’s a good sign that a team can be clutch like this. just hate we started so slow

  2. I appreciate the comeback attempt when normally they’d roll over and die

    We take Saturday 😤

  3. Boys put up a fight at the end. Just need more consistency with hits. Hoping it’s just opening day jitters. I’m not too upset with this loss.

Houston is about to be shut out, at their home base.

  4. Unfortunately, starting a fake comeback attempt against lower leverage pitchers that gets snuffed out by higher leverage ones has been a defining trait of the post-2023 Texas Rangers.

It’s only game 1/162, but I ultimately see this team straddling the middle (within 5 games above or below .500), purgatory in professional sports.

  5. Hey, at least they made a game of it at the end. And I don’t expect Evo to have too many starts similar to that.

  6. I understand the mentality of not wanting to use challenges early on to blow them but it doesn’t make sense when you never actually use the challenges later

  7. Eh bummer but Sanchez is a dawg and Evo pitched good outside of 2 bad pitches and got punished. Nice to see some fight at the end and hopefully we can build on it

  8. I AM FINISHED WITH THIS TEAM!! They have a lot to turn around if they want to catch up to LA in the standings!! (I will also be irrationally excited after every win)

  9. Our offense still needs work. Especially against lefties.

Could’ve won that game had the Bohm home run stayed in play.

Eovaldi got rocked, but the bullpen kept everything down, which is nice.

  10. Looks like that at least they don’t give up. We had glimpses of a good team here.

  11. Oh well, still a fun game. I like how Skip managed this one. Gave Baumler a zero leverage spot to get his feet wet, aggressively pursued matchups with the bottom of the order.

  12. Not mad one bit, team showed some fight in the end and Sanchez is very good, looking forward to Saturday

  13. Not the best scenario people but also not the worst. Thank goodness it wasn’t 0-5.

  14. Today is the 2nd day that I can say I have the same batting average as Joc Pederson.

  15. Not gonna get upset about this one cause Sanchez is a dawg. Glad to see some late inning fight. Two hits from Seager and a Burger bomb make me happy.

  16. Sanchez led the league in pitcher WAR last season. Evo pitched great tonight except for 2 mistakes. Offense didn’t give up and gave us a real shot at the end. Heads up baserunning kept us alive and ultimately led to our 8-hole hitter getting an inherited run in on one of the best closers in the game.

Ultimately didn’t shake out our way, but I see this as a great game
