I generally don’t believe this would happen. But trading Paolo for him would be a major mistake. Remember Paolo is 23 and Giannis is 31. Paolo has so much potential as of late we have seen him come back to himself having 30 point games back to back to back. I just don’t see this happening based off our Cap Space and the fact that we will have to trade so much. We just don’t have the pieces for a trade like this.
Paolo + Giannis. Paolo could learn so much from Giannis and elevate his game so much bro.

I would honestly rather just keep Paolo + whoever we’d need to include. Giannis is a 5 ppg upgrade over Paolo and better defense. He can’t shoot and is a worse FT shooter. He doesn’t move the needle as much as people think he would considering what we would have to give up.

Giannis is just a 120% out come Paolo. The difference is Paolo has a better 3 point shot and Giannis is significantly taller thus being better defensively. I don’t know how you guys feel but for me the most frustrating part about paolo is how meh to bad he is on defense. He has all the tools to be at the minimum a good defender and I think could be a great defender. Not elite but one step below
I mean yeah… not happening, but hilarious how everyone keeps mentioning Paolo as the one we would trade. Not even entertaining it would be a package of others or anything that features Franz, as if Franz wouldn’t have the exact same issues playing next to Giannis as Paolo would (which is also ridiculous, as you could literally run all 3 of them together with a coach who can actually gameplan a damn offensive system right now, let alone the fact that when healthy both Paolo and Franz were or have been showing improvements from the 3 point line).
Also if Giannis tries to force a trade, or threatens to just walk, the Bucks will take whatever they can get. Dropping Franz or Paolo is a no go in that instance. You offer guys like Suggs and/or AB and all the draft picks you can. Then you go FA hunting to fill in the guard spots using Giannis name as leverage.
Like they have been very aggressive at the trade deadline?
I’ve lived in Orlando, and have watched this team for like 20 years. He is not coming here, let’s not get our hopes up for something is never going to happen.

Months ago, when the news first broke that Giannis might want out, I jokingly suggested Paolo for Giannis straight up to my Bucks fan friend and he was offended at the idea. I still think it’s a small price to pay for one of the best players in NBA history, even if he is on the wrong side of 30. At some point, you have to stop building for the future and start playing for now. Paolo’s good but Giannis is special. Pull the trigger, Weltman
Only 4 guys have ever averaged 24 and 10 in a season after age 32. Kareem, Hakeem, Karl Malone, and Elgin Baylor…hadn’t happened in 28 years. Pass on Giannis bro
