  1. this is pretty concerning. Achilles tendinitis does not go away easy and it is one of the most significant risk factors for an Achilles rupture. He won’t be able to completely heal while still playing, he will only be able to manage it.

  2. Achilles tendinitis is an annoying injury . I hope Jaylen can get some rest for the next few days

  3. My sphincter tightened the second I read “Achilles” I still have PTSD from Tatum and he’s back already.

  4. There are varying degrees of severity AND looking at the East i dont think it makes much difference if we end up 2nd or 3rd or even 1st since its a crapshoot of average teams from 5 through10 anyway. Rest him, get him right, keep easing JT back the right way and get Vuc right all just in time for the playoff run. P.s. Cleveland is ass so im not worried about them at all, Harden is gonna choke like he normally does in the playoffs

  5. Ok I think people are going to lose their shit over this, and I totally get it given what happened to JT, but Jaylen just hit 65 games played. I’m pretty sure he was going to get a rest day regardless, this could very very easily be a maintenance thing.

If it’s not, and Joe’s concerned, then they’ll sit him. But he was questionable yesterday, so I’m asking this whole sub to BREATHE

  6. Jays so competitive they’re taking turns to see who can come back from a torn achilles faster

  7. Playoffs very soon

    Those are all that matter

2 or 3 seed is irrelevant if the mindset is to win a ring

  8. surely its not as bad as it sounds.. JB was in good spirits after the game and during his stream. if there was a serious injury issue i would think he wouldve addressed it

  9. SIT JB REST OF REGULAR SEASON. We need JB 100%. I have fucking nightmares of him playing on his torn meniscus and the injuries that keep happening to this team right before the playoffs.

  10. I’m praying this is just one of those things that the medical team half pulls out of their ass to put on the injury report to get rest.

  11. Are they trying to kill off everyone in Celtics Nation with a heart attack? WHAT?!?!?!

  12. This was probably a scheduled rest day for JB. I doubt it’s anything serious — probably just the Celtics covering all their bases since the league has been handing out fines for sitting healthy stars.

I bet if the Celts were playing the Knicks today, he’d play.

JB was livestreaming and in high spirits after the OKC game and was moving fine and signing autographs and otherwise participating in the festivities when the Celtics caught the France-Brazil friendly.

Those are not the actions of someone nursing a serious injury so people need to pipe down the “keep JB in bubblewrap” talk.

  13. Rest him until there are 1 or 2 games left in the regular season, so he can warm up for the playoffs.
