This is so sad 🙁 I truly feel bad for him… I cant imagine having to deal with this but bravo for being so courageous

  2. She’d already be proud, just like I think all of our fans are. This is one of the toughest things to happen to a family and both of them have shown strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Love that he mentioned talking to a professional about it too; I think it’s important for others to hear that these days

  3. watching the Jays players rock the #51 practically had me shedding a couple tears. I’ve never been part of a fan base that so whole heartedly supported a player after tragedy like this…

  4. I was hoping he’d come in for an inning, strike out the side on 9 pitches and get a huge ovation as he came in the dugout.

  5. him and kayla have navigated this loss so amazingly. my heart goes out to them. 

  6. I love that he’s said they’re going to therapy to process it too. It’s such a complicated kind of grief and I wish it was more normalized for people to get the support they need after.
