  1. Good for him….Very happy. But……..How do you pay Armstrong $18 million a year and tell Michael Busch (who has same service time) he has to play for the league MINIMUM $760K ???? Both came into the league at virtually the exact same moment. This is a serious issue brewing while Busch continues his high level of play day in and out.

  2. Armstrong has had 1 good half of baseball in about 3 years or so? Horrible the rest of the time!! How is this a good decision? At least nico has been consistently good! Can't wait to watch Armstrong strike out over and over again in big situations!

  3. What would make it great is getting Bush locked up .. I know cubs have team control until, 2029… If he continues to hit and get a gold glove? Price will only go up .

  4. I love how real he is. A humble 24 year old kid that loves baseball and is obviously nervous talking in front of a room of people. Just like most of us at that age. Love to have him represent my favorite team for the next 6+ years. Well done Cubs.

  5. Welcome to the second place Cubs – regardless of how much they spend. I go back to listening to Pat Peiper doing the lineups. Spent 60 years at Wrigley as a fan. Hoyer doesn't realize the fans want to see a winner.

  6. The Cubs have been meaningful to me since I was 5 years old because my mother was a huge Cubs fan and watched, or listened to, all the Cubs game. So the Cubs are a big deal to my family. I’m so happy you’re a Cub, and getting paid for it. —77 year old Cubs grandpa.
