Lmao
worst game of the year. Which is saying a lot.
Not going to doom too much, this is a very young team, etc.
But there has to be a better effort going forward
we just got blown out by the 25-26 rangers
We’ve reached the point in the season where everyone knows the year is lost, and the team is playing like it.
What happened?!
Levshunov for a weiner circle hotdog
I think schedule volume and lack of practice time is catching up with our very young team. I think next year we will have better average play just based on those things
Boisvert seems really hyped for a chance to drop the gloves 🥊
Focusing on the positives: better chance at Stenberg/McKenna, Lardis goal, and Boisvert fight. Otherwise that shit sucked.
‘Member when the team had a lead this game?
Also, this loss barely places the Hawks in 2nd in draft lottery odds, the lowest feasible place with how utter garbage the Canucks are.
This franchise used to set the standard.
Now’s it’s a embarrassing decade of dogshit.
I don’t think blash has a single clue man. I’ve got no faith in the guy.
Everything was just super sloppy, and they looked checked out until they dropped the gloves. Could tell Boisvert was itching to scrap and I love that. These big guys need to start throwing their weight around more.

Sliding into McKenna like

Welp at this point my only hope is that we land McKenna
When you face off against offensive juggernauts like the 2025-26 New York Rangers you are lucky if you only let them put 6 up on you.
Incoming “it’s okay, they’re young” posts. They’re immature, not young.
They were the best of times they were the worst of times!
Maybe the boys need to take a lesson from Dahlin and the Sabres this summer – throw a kegger and get trashed together. Do it several times, maybe. Become a team!
Today ain’t that day but hopefully soon. Cheers, friends!
Absolutely brutal two game span, especially after the NYI showing.
Another game where the effort level is completely non-existent. I’m not interested in any excuses. This team has lacked any sort of compete for a long time. If they start next year looking like this still we are in big trouble.
Holy fuck what an embarrassment
The last 7 periods have been some of the worst hockey I’ve watched. The team is young, mistakes happen, but you have to at least put in some effort.
Vlasic and Arty getting this much ice time while being the 2 worst players in tonights game is baffling to me. Also, Vlasic needs to toughen up, he’s so incredibly soft and it directly led to 2 goals. That being said, the entire D-core needs to toughen up, a total of 3 hits between them for the second game in a row is shameful, Arty with 2 and Big Lou with 1.
Lardis getting 11 minutes of ice time is also such a weird decision when he’s been on a heater the last couple of games. Boisvert with a nice fight is a small win I guess.
I don’t care if we lose but I want to see some sort of fight in these guys. I know the tanks are running low but I didn’t think they’d be completely empty. Just some effort man…
* The Hawks got a few good chances early, but didn’t convert and played poorly for most of the game.
* Lardis scored off a feed from Bertuzzi.
* Boisvert fought Borgen.
Idk man, I’m not gonna go full doomer on everything, but it’s very clear that we 100% need to focus on acquiring actual D vets this offseason. Having a roster composed of almost exclusively young and inexperienced players is not a recipe for success long term. I might get downvoted for saying this, but I think we need better special coaches too, because what we have just isn’t cutting it. I know that d men take longer to develop, but having huge guys that have next to no physicality and fall apart with any type of pressure is unacceptable at this point. That’s a coaching issue.
A team this young is going to make mistakes, I get that. But we’ve regressed so far in the last 3 games that I’m not sure we can point to a tough schedule as the sole reason for the backslide.
No veteran presence and a back to back. Learn from it. Move on.
Feels like KFC and management are running for the T-90s and M1A2’s with the last two.
With this loss sitting at #2 lottery wise (realistically lowest hawks could fall)
Tankathon 2026 is back in session. One year we won’t be tanking for a damn draft pick. Hopefully.
Vlasic and Levshunov feel like they are on different planets, they have no chemistry together and it is killing any shift on the ice.
People can do whatever mental gymnastics they want with Davidson, but shit should not be this bad this deep into rebuilding.
It’s insane how poor this team is
Mentally and physically soft team. I’m not sure anybody in the Hawks management team recognizes it or has the guts to tell Davidson. He’s building a regular season team, not a playoff team
Earlier this year, I had hopes of squeezing into the third quartile of the league. Woof, this has turned into a much worse season than I thought.
A losing culture is a thing. It’s gonna stick if they aren’t careful. Winning isn’t just a switch they can flip on once they think they have enough lottery picks.
Davidson is to blame. This is what happens when you get rid of ever single veteran on the team. No heart to this team.
I get it that they have a lot of new talent and needs to mesh. I get it. However, you need the will and effort. After the 2st period, they just took their feet off the gas.
Davidson, you’re responsible!
Fire Davidson.
Very concerned with levshunov
The doom here is absurd. This team could have been a fringe playoff team but then Nazar & Bedard both got hurt at the same time for extended games.
The goal should be to continue giving all of the young kids as much ice time as possible. There will be a lot of mistakes that they can improve on during the offseason.
Getting another top 3 pick this year will only help because of how fast the cap is increasing. People wanting us to sign veteran forwards or D – look at the fuckin free agent class. Tell me literally anybody on that list that turns the needle on this team. Any player that is remotely decent heading into a contract year will most likely be re-signed.
The NHL is going to be a game of drafting, developing, and retaining long term talent.
