Jeff Teague, DJ Wells, and B Hen react to the Charlotte Hornets’ win over the New York Knicks, and Jeff talks about how Kon Knueppel NEEDS to win the NBA Rookie of the Year over Cooper Flagg of the Dallas Mavericks. Jeff is super impressed with Kon, and talks about how he is instantly the focal point of the Hornets alongside LaMelo Ball, and is a direct reason to their success in the second half of the year.

  1. I told people Kon would be the best Guard in the draft. Everybody said VJ. I said you never seen Kon hoop. He’s the perfect bucket getter and he can carry a team of you asked him. He carried Duke and Flagg was just doing his thing but when it came to winning games. We relied on Kon

  2. Flagg putting up stats only done by 7 other rookies in the history of the NBA. But let's just talk about a third option who shoots over 8 three's a game. SMH

  3. Flagg has a higher
    Scoring game
    Assist game
    Rebound game
    Steal game
    Block game

Averages more in those categories while drawing the toughest cover every night. Is a much better defender.

STOP THE CAP!! Flagg is the R.O.Y.

  4. Coop is ROTY, Kon getting that Poole treatment. Puts up good numbers bcuz of the stars around him but if him and Coop switched teams he would not be able to do what Coop is doing. Coop is in a much more difficult situation compared to Kon. Kon is nice don’t get me wrong but 1 has less of a defensive focus on them compared to the other

  5. The argument for Kon as ROTY always ends up being about “winning basketball,” which is funny because team success has almost never mattered for this award historically.

And even if it did… the Hornets sitting barely above .500 isn’t exactly some overwhelming team case 😂

ROTY has always been about individual production, impact, and responsibility not team record. But, doing one thing, on wide open shots, as a team’s second or third option just ain’t that
