Really solid breakdown. I think the biggest point here is the one a lot of fans may miss. Hargrave should not be viewed as the nose tackle answer, but as a clear upgrade in that penetrator/3-tech role where the Pack has been trying to squeeze more out of guys like Wooden than they were built to provide.
I’m all for the signing as he’s always been a player I liked, and even if he’s not a nose they still need bodies on the DL. And I think they can use his veteran presence. But I also am tempering expectations given he’s definitely on the back nine of his NFL career.
I’m excited for Hargrave, should be an upgrade over Wooden and provide some insurance if/when Wyatt gets injured. Gannon knows how to get the best out of him too.
