GIANTS POSTCAST: Giants Offense HORRENDOUS To Start 2026

The San Francisco Giants entered today looking for their first run of the 2026 MLB season, and they ended today still searching for that first run as they fell 3-0 to the New York Yankees at Oracle Park. An Aaron Judge two-run blast and a solo shot from Giancarlo Stanton proved to be the difference in this one, but the biggest concern with this team, much like last season and the years prior, remains on the offensive side of the equation. Despite making major upgrades over the last few seasons, the team continues to see the same pitiful results.

  1. While not a believer that this will be a great team, there is a lot of jumping to conclusions considering it's two games – against the Yankees. I also noticed that Vitello is promising lineup 'variance' based on the numbers. After two games? Suggests he is a nervous manager and has little patience with his players.

  2. Same problem as last year. Devers is a poison player. Defense in left field is weak. Maybe they will finish 4th. But the Rockies will be much closer. They might even take 4th place from the Giants.

  3. What did anybody expect? We’re going to compete with all the big spenders with Chapman and Devers as our big hitters? They’re supposed to compete with Judge, Ohtani and the overloaded Dodgers? We kind of knew this was going to happen. The only drama left in baseball is whose ass the Dodgers will kick in the World Series. Until something structurally changes in baseball, drama is gone. Bring on the lockout

  4. These guys are normally good hitters. Did they change their approach? Who's their hitting coach? What signals are they getting? Why couldn't they bunt in some situations? Last year, they were producing crazy OBP in this early stage of the season. They appear waaay less disciplined in the box.

  5. Anyone notice the look on Ryan Walker's face when he got pulled? Dude was like, "seriously?" 😂Also: true to form, early-season Adames is a tragedy on both sides of the ball. Just what is his problem? We know he's better than this.

  6. So far I’m not impressed with the new Manager. Personally I didn’t like the batting order the first two games either.

  7. I get the sense that there's literally not a single thing that can be done about the team on the field. They just simply are not good. The entire thing will need to be blown up and they need to start from the ground up. They're simply not going to win with this foundation of players. It's impossible for one reason or another.
Just adding and adding and adding on top of this foundation isn't going to produce the positive results we want them to.

  8. Sure looks like the same team…or maybe even worse. Last season the Giants were 11-2 against the Rockies…and 70-79 against the rest of baseball. That shows the reality of the team. They really aren't even close to being a top team. And the Brewers and Red Sox got us to take Adames and Devers off their hands and payrolls. How did those teams do without their stars? Much better and in the playoffs.

  9. Adames Has No Business Batting 1-4th. At Best, He Should Be hitting 5-9. AT BEST. He Strikes Out Way Too Much. Especially IN THE CLUTCH. Barry!!! We Miss You!

  10. All you fans trashing the giants after a few game should go buy a dodgers jersey. You couldn’t even hit a ball off a tee but think you have all the answers. STFU

  11. So sick of watching the Giants constipated offence that excels at striking out. Hoping that these first two games are just an aberration and that things will improve but it sure doesn't look good so far. Its time for all these highly-paid hitters to start earning their pay.

  12. The Yanks are my third favorite team. If Doval can become great with them and win a World Series, I’m good with that. I wish he could have been great with the Giants though. The guy is an amazing talent when he has his head together.
