Decker has not heard from HC Dan Campbell or GM Brad Holmes since the split. He has heard from Ben Johnson though

  1. Coach Johnson: offensive visionary, man of the people, hot dog feeder of Chicago, leader of men, and not a piece of shit who ghosts players.

  2. Ok now iv got my hopes up that Decker might be a late offseason signing. One of those vets who want to skip the OTAs and stuff

  3. If this is true it really feels like the lions are breaking everything just as fast as they seemingly fixed it all. Only time will tell though.

  4. And Lions fans tried to argue they were going to be fine without Ben 🤣🤣 imploding from the inside

  5. The camp battle at LT will be fun to follow. If Decker gets signed, that’d be him vs. Wills vs. Jones vs. Benedet vs. maybe a late round rookie or UDFA.

  6. The title makes it sound like Ben Johnson didn’t check on Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes

  7. If we can get him for a one year deal I think we would be good at left tackle this coming season, still draft someone in the later rounds I feel but have a solid plan with this at least

  8. I’m sorry but I find it extremely hard to believe that the GM and HC of the Lions where Decker’s spent his entire career didn’t give him a phone call or a text. That’s incredibly unprofessional, even for the NFL.

  9. Campbell is a rah rah coach who is nothing but a culture builder. He got lucky with Ben Johnson but now that he’s gone there isn’t much else he can do. They’ll fail with Petzing this year, miss the playoffs again, then he’ll be on the hot seat

Wouldn’t be shocked if Campbell is a quality control coach on Denver’s staff in 2 years

  10. My guess is there is a major financial disconnect between what teams value Decker for and what Decker wants. He’s a guy who’s had a ton of injury issues and he’s not getting younger.
