What are your expectations for Elic Ayomanor coming into year 2?
March 28, 2026
As a home I want him to fix the drop and consistency become a wr2/fringe Wr1 type of guy

Good question, the draft will be telling on what the staff thinks of him.
Solid number 3
Big body/X receiver. 800 yards-7tds would be nice
0 drops
He’s the big question mark. I expect better from him. He looked great when he was facing easier coverage with Ridley drawing the better coverage. Once Ayomanor started getting the best DBs from the opposing defense Dike became the primary open receiver. Hopefully with Ridley and Robinson on the roster it gives Ayomanor an easier time to develop his second year. I could see them not getting a WR in the draft and just trusting Ayomanor to be that X receiver to develop. Give him a chance this year and if he fails then draft a WR high next year.
Gotta step up if he wants to stick. Was hot and cold last year. Rooting for him. Seems like a good guy.
Hopefully a good backup
He’s a NWI receiver to me. A number 3 or 4. I really don’t ever see him being anything more than that.
For everyone talking about the drops, here is a list of players who had a higher drop percentage than Elic in 2025:
Ladd McConkey,
AmonRa St Brown,
Zay Flowers,
Travis Kelce,
Tet MacMillan,
Ceedee Lamb,
Emeka Egbuka,
Adam Theilen,
Oh and Calvin Ridley
1,345 yards, 16 touchdowns cause why not be delusionally optimistic
Probably the around ~500ish 5 tds as he had this year if not less. He’s this team’s wr4, right now, might get pushed even further down the depth chart depending on what happens in the draft.
Improve drop rate by >20%
I think he’ll be better than last year, but I don’t think we can bank on him being a breakout star. Until he proves otherwise, I think we have to look at him as just solid 4th round pick
I’m expecting to see him in a WR3 role, so better seperation and less drops since he’ll probably be against worse corners.
Getting better in the short passing game and improving his hands should be his top priority. He was easily our best deep threat last season, but he dropped way too many slant and quick passes.
If he improves in those two areas, I could definitely see him becoming a guy that routinely gets between 700-1000 yards per season, which is a steal for a 4th round pick.
I asked Cam,
He said top 5 with Jamar Chase, Ridley, Dike and Robinson.
And we know Cam knows ball.
Between him and Dike I feel like they’re the reason Titan didn’t try to break the bank on a new WR and just redo Ridley’s deal, Both rookies showed some good promise and deserve more field time
400-600 yards, with maybe 2-4 TDs. I think he can be really solid.
Dont drop the ball homie and we are good
62 catches 688 7 TDs
Depends on the rest of FA and draft. I see him w/44-650 & 6, I hope I’m way under.
Jfc these uniforms were dogshit
I think he solidifies himself as a high end back up possession receiver, like a better tajae sharpe. I still think the Titans invest in another X receiver in the first few rounds that will end up starting over him.
I don’t understand the comparison between NWI and Elic. When Elic can actually create separation and space, his issues were DROPS, getting tangled with defenders, and being off sync with Cam Ward on certain routes.
Aside from the drops, Elic was starting to look a bit more polished and defined for his role. Elic has the highest ceiling, but it might take three years for him to grow comfortably into his prime. Same with Dike, but I see Dike being used primarily on offense and kick returns as a weapon. Dike steps up this year, Elic will produce this year, because our OC can actually scheme adjustments correctly.
Realistically, Elic needs to show consistency and balance to the offense. 750-900 yards 6-8 TDs. Elic is a weapon closer to the Red Zone. Once Elic develops, he’s a solid WR2/WR3 in a combination bundle play.
Personally I hope the Titans draft either Boston, Bernard, Branch, Tyson (if he drops outside the 1st Round), and maybe Brazzell (I have a love-hate with Vols WR: Justin Hunter).
The Titans WR Room:
Ridley, Wan Dale Robinson, Ayamanor/Dike/Rookie WR, Bryce Oliver, and Xavier X Man. Yes I have Kinsey off the team, he can’t survive another coaching regime change again lol.
Elic makes crazy catches and near impossible windows to climb the ladder to make impressive catches. Personally he needs to hit 700 yards, but his goal should be over 800 yards. As far as touchdowns? At least 6.
Overall, if the Titans draft two or three weapons for Cam Ward this season and then draft a WR1 for 2027, the offense SHOULD be better and on the pathway to success for 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 season.
Key Positions for the 2027 Draft: RB, WR, Safeties, OT, OLB, and maybe ILB but it’s too early to tell.
Titans need two sign at least two productive veterans at premium positions, and fill most of their holes in the draft and have the most competitive offseason camp ever in franchise history to see how well
Improved the Titans have done.
I expect 6-8 wins. But pray for more wins, yet don’t become a 1 and done team like the commanders.
Barely gets any separation, but doesn’t give up on the play. He may be on the bench after this draft.
I’m hoping for at least 800 yards and 7 tds he’s def one of our best young talents
I’m more exciting for chim, since he’s the better receiver
