3. The “analyst” in the clip is Kaan Kural, he is far from a basketball expert and rather an enjoyer of the game. Kind of like our own Bill Simmons, he has been a major part of the Turkish basketball discourse and culture for the last two decades.

4. His first point is spot on, can’t have such a negative presence and let it cascade down the team, it’s impossible to main a positive outlook from that perspective

6. I think so many NBA coaches (not just Udoka) often forget you’re not just there for X’s and O’s, you’re literally a coach! in that you’re there to motivate the team, get them in the right headspace. My mind immediately goes to that clip of Brenda Frese.

7. I really don’t think being negative with regards to coaching is bad in a vacuum. The blatant favoritism towards his brand of basketball is a problem. If you can’t adjust to the situation and can’t correct reoccurring issues then there’s no excuse. It’s just bad coaching.

   Also it’s nice to finally see some media outside of rockets podcasts address the coaching issue.
