This goes way beyond basketball for me, and it’s too much to put into words, but long story short, I’ve never resonated with a player’s story, attitude, and drive quite like I did with Jimmy’s.

I will never get over Jimmy and the Heat not being on good terms.

  1. Will never be able to hate on Jimmy after the way he left. He gave this city something special while he was here.

  2. It’s because Jimmy’s a bitch and has done this to every team that he’s been on. He also made public that Riley cried during their meeting when talking about their dead fathers.

What turned me 100% against Jimmy is seeing how dirty he did his teammates. All over money because he’s a greedy bitch ass Diva who doesn’t deserve our respect.

    **Fuck Jimmy Butler**

  3. I’ve always hated the fact that we didn’t get Jimmy the help he needed, and that our players didn’t elevate their games enough to support him. He is always the most burnt out during the playoffs having to carry this team.

Every postseason, reporters would ask Spo what message he had for the rest of the team about stepping up for Jimmy, and Spo will end up deflecting that question:

    >Reporter to Spo: “Jimmy Butler can’t do it all– or maybe he can– but what do you need to see from the supporting cast.”

Before things ended badly, all my Heat friends said that if there’s one person on the roster they wished could have a championship on their resume, it was Jimmy.

Do you see Tatum this tired? No, because he has another superstar in Jaylen Brown to help him.

  4. Let it go bro. It was a business decision, dude got **$120M/2yrs FULLY GUARANTEED** and it was the right move by him because he’s 38 and look at what happened to his knee this season. Pat was smartly not paying that, so Jimmy did what he had to do. Come on bruh. Appreciate what he gave us for five amazing years and move on.

  5. Being in high school/college around his runs was perfect. Practically grew up with Jimmys playoff runs being the highlight of my spring going into summer break

Parents got me a ticket to game 6 vs Celtics in 2022 as a graduation gift and I saw him drop 47 in ice cold fashion to keep the heat alive

In 2023 when Jimmy dropped 56 it genuinely made me feel like anything was possible in my own life lol seeing how he defied the odds. Imo his jersey will be up there one day after the smoke clears

  6. really wish this team got him the help he deserved. a real scoring option who could take pressure off him in the playoffs. nothing i wanted more than to see his jersey retired in miami. i didn’t like how he left, it was immature and hurt the team, but im more upset at the front office for being complacent with the teams we had despite losing multiple times being soooo close to winning. damn shame. still fuck the way he left though i won’t get over that either.

  7. The worst part is he was valid for being pissed at the team, he just chose to go about leaving in the worst way possible

The zombie heat made me a fan and it really sucks to feel so conflicted about my formerly favorite player

  8. Bam hasn’t been an all-star in 3 years and we’re still calling him a ‘star’

  9. Yeah well nothing hurts more than seeing Wade wear another team’s jersey in the NBA.

  10. Too bad he’s an ass and cares about money way too much, I used to love Jimmy too but he’s just not a real dude

  11. Well this is the same franchise that ran D Wade, the franchise GOAT out of town, so this is not the 1st time this FO that fell from competence gets what they deserve. Serves them right

  12. He was the epitome of heat culture. Spo will confirm. We had some insanely good shit going.

  13. Yup, literally a 0-100 player. His backstory is anime like thats why I am not mad that he kinda chased the money, but when he was on the court he gave everything. Kinda wished both sides could have come to an agreement but yh

  14. I swear I thought he would retire here but who knows what really went behind the scenes. Nevertheless imma miss goth Jimmy 🤣

  15. The 2020 and 2023 runs live rent free in my head, especially 2023 seeing a bunch of undrafted underdogs lead by someone who was an underdog all his life was insane to see.

  16. Dude him and the Heat had a Heck of a run. Double NBA Finals KaBoom 3’s going in and Playoffs Jimmy Buckets was Epic!

  17. He’s good-not-great player that has had runs. But he wants to be treated like an all-timer.

All good. Fun while is lasted but never wanted to sell the farm for this dude.

  18. Why would you want to be on good terms with a bitch that quits on their teammates?
