Kevin Durant is Sabotaging the Rockets

Kevin Durant is Sabotaging the Rockets. Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun, and the Rockets continue to choke away games. Theres multiple reasons, but Im not letting Kevin Durant off the hook. Major lapses as a leader and decision maker have killed the chemistry of this team. Rockets VS Timberwolves.

  1. Some of these turnovers are due to the teammates not making themselves available. They are supposed to cut to the gaps KD can pass through, not hope he can accurately make a pass through 2 defenders and it goes right to teammates.

  2. They didn't need to trade for KD, they needed a coach who could run a modern motion offense. They still need that, but now they also need an athletic SG/combo. God I hope they can get Kingston Flemming somehow

  3. I'll give credit to Kevin Durant for being in the league this long. As for his leadership, I think it's clear that KD prefers someone else take that role.

Durant in the last 72 hours: "I need to do better on offense. On this team, I guess I am the offense."

"I feel like I just need to get out of people's way."

  4. The Rockets didn’t need KD. They needed an offensive coordinator because Ime wouldn’t know an
Offense if it slapped him upside his shiny forehead

  5. When KD came to the Dubs I couldn’t believe we got him, I then immediately saw Steph take a back seat so KD could get his. Klay’s shot total didn’t go down when KD arrived, Steph’s did. No other superstar has done for KD what Steph did for him. When Draymond started acting the fool with KD I wanted Draymond to get traded, I loved having KD on the team. Perkins and the other talking heads told KD he has to “drive the bus” to be an all-time great and he was stupid enough to believe it. KD can’t drive a bus for shit…

  6. What really starts to matter late in the season isn't just talent… it's personality and presence.

If you watch how Kevin Durant carries himself… how he interacts, how he answers questions… there's often a kind of edge to him. He can come across as guarded, even a bit prickly. Individually, he's one of the best to ever do it. But being a superstar isn't just about your own production… it's about what happens to everyone else when you're on the floor and in the locker room.

And that's where the contrast with someone like LeBron is pretty stark. You hear guys like Austin Reaves talk about him, and you can see it too: he stays positive, he holds people accountable without tearing them down, and he consistently elevates the group. There's an energy there that pulls others up.

With KD, it feels different. Not worse as a player… just different in terms of how it translates to team dynamics. And to be fair, not all of that is something you can just choose to change. Personality is shaped over a lifetime.

But at that level, those intangibles matter. And they can quietly cap how much a great player actually lifts a team.

  7. He is not a playmaker. But he doesnt know it. Every play that goes wrong is everyone elses fault. He is never a factor. He might be the greatest 2nd option in league history.

His ego doesnt understand this and cant. Thats what this is.

  8. KD want all the praise but can't take the criticism. A 7 ft whos a all time leading scorer, but can't handle double team? Bro steph is doubled and tripled on every possession and still can make the tough shots or work around it and make plays to get others open at 6'2

  9. I told my homies that getting kd to Houston instead of focusing on building our young guys who managed to be second in the tough west last year was gonna end horribly, kd has a reputation of plaguing franchises, and kd I know ur in here, just retire bro

  10. KD went from being considered one of the most ethical hoopers, to one of the most egotistical players in the NBA
Or maybe he was always a terrible person, and we just were blinded by the on court brilliance

  11. We're seeing that KD's reputation as a all-time scorer is really just that, he's an amazing scorer and that's mostly it. He's not a great facilitator, he's a poor leader, and his defense is weak especially considering his length and athleticism. He earned that title of bus rider with the Warriors because that team basically covered up all his weaknesses and let him go full on what he's good at.

  12. Honestly, after the All-star break the Houston Rockets dont look like a real team anymore. They look like a group of players who just share the same court. The chemistry is clearly broken, any you can see it especially in the last minutes of games where they constantly collapse and lose games they should win. After the KD twitter scandals and especially after the coach's post-game comments, the body language of the team changed a lot. (you can check after ALPi post-game comments) they dont look connected anymore. It feels more like everyone is just doin' their own job rather than playin' each other.
Ime Udoka keeps talkin' aobut defense in the media, but on the court the team keeps making the same defensive mistakes(self or team) rotation mistakes and the same late-game mistakes. The bigger problem is not only the players, it's the coaching decision during the game.(u can see every fuckin' game) Wrong decisions, lack of adjustments, and not intervening when the game is slippin' away. Post-game interviews and press comments don't mean much if nothing changes on the court.

At some point, The Houston Rockets (Pokemon Rockets Team) front office has to make a decision, just like they did in the S. Silas era when they had to choose a direction between Jalen Green and Alperen. Long term, the most important thing for a young team is chemistry and a clear system. You can see this in Oklahoma, Spurs, Detroit even in etc. They are building an identity and team chemistry.

Right now Houston has talent, but no identity, no chemistry, poor late-game execution and no clear direction. And that's why they keep losing games they should be winning.

  13. Ur blaming kd for ime udoka putting tari eason iver reed sheppard and blaming him for teams hunting sengun because hes slow and cant play d and ur blaming him because jabari smith. jr makes low iq contested shots and we donthave a true pg because no one did anything at the trade deadline

  14. This was a really fun scrappy team last year, this year I can’t even watch it. I thought this was going to be a great trade but we should’ve kept Dillon Brooks smh.

  15. i hope Sengun is saying to management or they send him, or KD this summer, Kd just cares about his stats to become great basketball player, MR-50-40-90-bllsht. no help for teammates neither on def, or off. He has never became great in my eyes, but since i can watch him every game now, he gets even worst, he is most overrated player in history!

  16. Go back and watch the 2016 WCF, OKC vs the Warrior. Pivotal game 6 specifically. KD choked, he never handled double teams well.

People forget Enes Kanter & Russel Westbrook were furious and confronted KD for hanging out with Dremond and a couple other Warriors during that series. He's never been a great leader.

After OKC choked that 3-1 series lead I remember saying "KD is a great #2." People jumped on me for it. What I always explained was, he's not great at handling the pressures that come with being a Number 1 , on and off the court.

It's hard for fans to come to grips with the fact that some players don't have the PERSONALITY to match their TALENT. And if you're been paying attention Kevin Durant has always wanted to be recognized as the greatest without the responsibilities that come with it. That lack of maturity is why he spends time roasting teammates on burner accounts instead of gathering the troops together.

  17. The Rockets used to be a fun team with Dillon Brooks and now it's so toxic with KD. Now the Suns are fun to watch without KD. This bald grumpy guy should retire. He is bad for the young NBA players.

  18. I laughed when KD got stopped by the Lakers. Like cmon man, you are apparently the greatest scorer of this generation and youre getting stopped by old man Bron, Hillbilly Kobe, traffic cone Luka and a bunch of no name bums.

  19. This video is so real man, Rockets need to get off this guy quick. Worst thing that ever happened to KD in my opinion ,was Curry winning the 2022 chip, against the same team that swept him.

  20. Kevin D is a looser ….. he quit on OKC !! I said it when the rockets picked him up …. He will make this team worse….. just like all the other teams he been on !!
