The NBA Isn’t Ready For This Detroit Pistons Duo…

I don’t think the NBA is ready for this.

Ausar Thompson and Ron Holland just gave us a glimpse into what they can become — and defensively, this duo looks scary.

In this video, I break down:

• Their defensive impact and activity
• Why they’re so dangerous together
• The key stat that shows how dominant they’ve been
• What needs to improve for this to fully work

Plus a quick reaction to the Pistons’ win over the Timberwolves.

This might be the future of Detroit…

  1. If Ron was a starter and played 30 a night, hed average 20 and have games over 25. Nobody in the NBA compresses so much crazy activity into such a small amount of time as he does. When he comes into the game you know its time for madness on both ends. My favorite Piston.

  2. Agreed with this premise!…but neither guy reached 25 minutes in this game. I fear JB doesn't play them enough and also as you mention be doesn't wanna play them together. 🤞🏽 This changes in the near future

  3. Ron is actually almost an inch taller than Ausar. Combine height without shoes Ausar was 6’5.75 and Ron was 6’6.5. 6’8 in shoes. If he gets stronger and puts on some more weight he could play some more minutes at the 4 at some point. Ron’s height was actually exactly the same as Tobias Harris at the combine.

  4. I love what these guys do. They really made me realize what impact outside of the box score this season looks like, especially AT. The only thing i'd love to see is one of them devlop a jumper, likely hustleman holland.
