Still in his prime.

  1. My opinion of that trade from the beginning was Trae>CJ and CJ contract value > Trae contract value

  2. I mean it took some time for homie to integrated into our system but he has been looking great as of late

  3. He’s not bad and he can go iso and get a bucket. Sometimes tho he can get a lil trigger happy (that 3 down 4 vs Boston) and it’s like eehhhh Cj. Calm down

  4. CJ has always been a bucket and good vet presence. I’m kind of use to the shot chucking from our past era but it still drives me insane when he does it 😅

  5. This is the guy that we sign for next year. Let JK walk. Newell should be ready to play behind JJ next season.

  6. The best thing about CJ is that he brings the things that we really needed from Trae to the table – ISO scoring, 3 point shooting, and a steady hand on offense….without all the stuff that we didn’t need.  The pressure to keep the ball in Trae’s hands as at worst a #2 option who is going to want to average 10APG.  The defensive challenges that come with playing Trae big minutes, etc.

Once we were leading the league in APG without Trae playing it became clear that we only needed half of his skillset and CJ gives us that.

  7. At this point I would’ve swapped him 1 for 1 with Trae. He’s just straight up better for the team

  8. I figured he’d turn it around same as what he did with the Wizards.

The guy is a pro’s pro. Getting bounced from the Pelicans to Washington to a struggling Hawks team in one calendar year and didn’t complain.

I don’t know what he’s said publicly in Atlanta but he had nothing but kind words to say on his way out of Washington even after the horrible things that were said about him during his bad start.

  9. Guy has the Mamba mentality… shoot lots, don’t pass. Much needed in the playoffs imo
