The 2026 NHL draft class is LOADED
The Vancouver Canucks and my lowly lowly Rangers have been ELIMINATED from playoff contention so lets take a look at the top 3 prospects in this years NHL draft as they look to be pretty dang good. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

As I post this Elliotte Friedman is on HNIC intermission saying the next step for McKenna, as Penn State had a short season, is to play for Canada at the IIHF World Championship in Switzerland in May. Him and possibly Porter Martone, keep an eye out for that!
*2026 New York rangers draft
WHY IS EVERYONE SAYING STENBERG IS 5'8 LIKE HES 6 FEET THATS A 4 INCH DIFFERENCE
The fact that McKenna is a question at number one is insane
Stenberg is 6 foot not 5´8
It doesn't matter because the league is fixed. Florida will win the lottery and pick 1st
laughable how people think that the kids playing collage hockey are better than kids putting up point sin ADULT HOCKEY is mentally insane and just shows the clown world we live in.
but he scored more points, YEAH but he played against KIDS who will NEVER BE PRO in any league other than low to meh level. 18 and 4th in scoring in the big boys league its worth 5 times that of the kids level. you NA so called fans rank your kids way too high.
you hate on the Euro kids because we ARE now starting to breed kids at a higher level than you lot and you just cant accept that fact
Gavin is not s center….
im hoping my boy chase reid goes pretty high
Hot take: The best defenseman in this draft isn't Keaton Verhoeff or Chase Reid, it's Alberts Smits.
Honestly if chicago gets mckenna or stenberg its going to benefit them. Mckenna with the cousin chemistry and stenberg is going to have chemistry with frondell
You may be the Star Wars guy but you also are assuredly Quinn The GM
Only 17 woww …man child …check out his chin woww 😊
Stenberg isn`t undersized. He`s 182cm, that`s not small. Sure, he`s listed with about 80kg, but he`s only 18 and he`s scoring in the SHL, which is not an easy league to score.
I am not sure if it`s him or McKenna 1st overall.
Also for the D, i know RDs are harder to get than LDs, but Chase Reid played a great OHL season with 48 Pts. in 45 GP.
I`d rate that over the NCAA season Verhoeff had, though it`s hard to compare as NCAA features older players.
And then there`s Carson Carels, only turning 18 days before the draft, lighting up the WHL. That`s impressive.
Not at all clear this draft who`s to pick when.
If the panthers win the draft pick everyone will riot and say it’s rigged
Verhoff's skating:
he was a goalie at 12.
Goalie!
I want he'd McKenna at my hometown when the Tigers came to play , he was nasty and has unreal wrist shot that doesn't get talked about enough.
To me, McKenna is the #1 pick, centres are too rare to pass-up, and he has acceptable size. The other two are really good too.
This draft is not loaded. It’s a decent draft tho
The sad thing is one of these players IS GOING to be in Vancouver and his career will suffer for it ! I'd LOVE to see the LEAFS get a top 5 pick JUST to annoy the hell out of everyone !!!!
watch as the Panthers win the 1st overall pick because Bettman needs his favorite team to still be good
Sam Gagner is such a throwback. I watched that 8 point game out of pure chance way back when. Couldn't believe what I was watching.
Maybe McKenna will be drafted by the Blackhawks to play with his cousin Connor Bedard 🤔
Alberts Šmits all the way🇱🇻!!!
Every draft class every year is loaded, at least for like two years. 😂
Watching the Leafs continually lose first round picks has been frustrating.
the rangers needs atleast a top 2 pick in the draft, as most players in the draft after Stenberg and Mckenna are defensemen. Defensmen is the least problem the rangers have right now, So its either top 2 or this whole draft is a bust for the rangers.
As a Canucks fan, I just want the 1st overall pick. I like Stenberg more than McKenna, but I'll be ok with either one of them.
Very surprising not see Alberts Smits in this list. Mid season he supposedly was nr.1 D man. He had great IIHF and Olympic run also.
I swear to god if the Canucks pick the Swede 1st overall…
Gotta understand a lot can happen in a year..
Björck is a silent pick someone will invest in and go to the moon with. I hope Vancouver skip him.
Vancouver needs a C
Please do a video about the James Hagens call up to the minors and now the league
The 2026 draft isn't stacked at all. It has good defensemen at the top however.
Haven't seen one of these guys lay the body or drop the gloves….this generation is so cooked.
When did hockey become so gay? Is it the money?
Stenburg is no where close to a Gaudreau Stenburg has barkov like characteristics an more of a shooter 😊
Mitch Marner is Canadian.
How many draft picks will be praying, "please don't let X team, draft me, PLEASE" 🙂 you all can fill in what team(s) they will be saying that about 🙂
“Even Sam Gagner can cook for 8 points once in a while”
?? What kinda content is this. There is a big difference between 5”8 and 6”0 . If you can’t even get the basic facts, stop making content
I find it so interesting how accounts like this can make a whole video and get the top picks god damn position wrong. Gavin McKenna wasn’t a center in the whl or ncaa and he’s now “stepping into the nhl as a center”? Just completely discredits the video
Verhoeff > McKenna
The 2026 draft sucks lol
Stenberg's play as an "undersized" player is probably elevated by the bigger rinks in Europe, more time and less contacts to rattle him. And I say that as a 5'8" myself.
I'm just disappointed that USA college teams are poaching the best players we have in CHL and offering them NIL deals, but hey cash is king. This will undoubtedly hurt the CHL in the long term.
Yet another deep draft where the Preds, who should be tanking, are randomly playing out of their minds and probably make the playoffs when they shouldnt, in a weak western conference when they could easily have gotten a 5th-6th overall pick. I LOVE BEING A FAN OF THIS FRANCHISE /s
Stenberg only wants to play for the Blues with his brother and all the Swedes on our team.
