I don’t feel like they played poorly and they sort of got goalied. I don’t really understand why they never got any real momentum going.
Interesting Corsi chart for this one. I’m actually surprised Burns was positive on this one because I thought he backslid a bit on performance just in my opinion. Kelly and Malinski have been playing great!
I don’t really care about this game, the Jets style of play seems to lock us up offensively and it’s good to practice against a system like that pre playoffs and work out the kinks.
When our captain is a MINUS, you KNOW something went wrong.
That was a painful watch. Fingers crossed, that was the last time we have to play the bum ass Jets.
Parker Kelly is so god damn good
I don’t understand how the xGA for blackwood could be less than 2 with the wild tip ins 🤔
This was my first Avs game in-person and while it’s too bad they didn’t win, I have to say it was a fucking blast to be at. The crowd energy was super fun, hardly any away fans at this one. The Gangsters Paradise entrance music is so hype, and I love the cool light graphics they display on the ice to announce the starting lineup. So many exciting moments that unfortunately just didn’t finish out into results. But all around a good time!
– You gotta love a Parker Kelly goal!
-Also really thought LOC was going to get that shorty. Maybe next time.
-Much respect to Tazer for immediately stopping to check on Lowry after that fall into the boards. Also for making that block right before! He had a couple of good ones last night.
-WTF was Hellebuyck’s deal after that bump in the third period? What was Colton supposed to do when he’s taking up that much space back there? Then not even picking up his stick when he had plenty of time to do so after someone sent it back to him.
– The empty net goal was a bummer.
Kinda surprised by these stats. I watched the whole game and while it wasn’t our best performance of the year, I still thought we outplayed the Jets by a decent margin. They played this kind of obnoxious conservative game anytime they were ahead, they just bogged us down and tried to not give up any goals. I thought that on the whole we looked better.
Also, Kelly’s price-to-performance ratio is ridiculous.
We’ve been kinda bad at home lately it feels like. Hope destroying the Flames puts us back on track
Is it just me or is Cale consistently showing up with negative scores on the game score bar chart graphic ?
I feel like he’s been negative 70% of the time the last few months.
Not saying he isn’t a generational gifted player who we are very lucky to have.
