O-Line Appreciation Post

  1. Those ND boys huge get for us. And enough with the Bradford hate. The man has improved just like he’s supposed to.

  2. Sacks are a QB stat. Geno took 50 sacks with the Hawks in 2024, then took 50 sacks with the Raiders in 2025.

Sam’s sack rate has stayed around 6% his whole career. Even with the Jets.

  3. Not downplaying sacks as a QB stat, as that is absolutely a large part of it, but can’t help but notice that all of those teams except maybe ATL are (were now that Kubiak is gone) known for having offensive geniuses at the helm.

Consistently and quickly scheming people open is probably also a big part beyond having good OL players.

  4. After the few recent years of poor O-Line (and D-Line), this past season has been a breath of fresh air.

  5. Geno and especially Russ were terrible at avoiding sacks, even prime Russ with the 2025 o-line would scramble around.

  6. I know the boys up front deserve most of the credit, but I’d also like to thank the coaches and coordinators who schemed the line and the plays to the players strengths.

The Tom Cable era can’t hurt us anymore.

  7. Its a combination of things. While the Oline has improved with Zabel, the scheme, playcalling and the QB helped things.

  8. We made huge strides as an O-line. Very proud of those guys. With that said, Sam and Klint should get a lot of credit too. Playcall design with all the boots and QB movement, plus Sams athleticism on full display were huge contributing factors to these sacks allowed statistics

  9. I’m shocked we are tied with the 9ers their OLine looked like shit the whole season. Gotta be purdy rolling and getting the ball out quick

  10. If the Seahawks ever wanted to win a championship again, they needed to invest in and create a good oline and dline. We finally invest and create a good oline and dline and we win the championship. Good trench play wins playoff games.

  11. I really do think Superbowls are won in the trenches. O & D line. That’s what we did. Draft and pay for those guys and you can score as little or as much as you need to to win a game at a high percentage rate.
