Is is bad that I’m just numb to these stats now? It’s more novel than it is concerning. I feel like a mad scientist peering into my monster’s lair undisturbed by the piles of bones.

This is perhaps the most fortuitous tank in franchise history.

Part of me also thinks injuries played heavy into us being sooo dog shit this season. 3rd overall it is
Either we are way over rating how good the players are, or they are being terribly coached.

Watched about half the “game” last night. Got stomped by the league’s second worst team. Yes, we’re bad.
What happened to the Sharks??
The best part of all this will be watching the Rangers win the draft lottery.
I’m a 1/2 glass full kinda guy and the good news is this absolutely has to be rock bottom. I don’t think you can have a worse season than clearing last place by 20 points. At least this season forced ownership into a rebuild because they didn’t seem to be learning their lesson. No point in perpetually trying to just be a bubble playoff team. Do it right and build a true Stanley Cup contender even if it takes longer. The pattern amongst Cup winning teams in the past 20 years is they have multiple top 3 picks. Sounds crazy but that should be the goal for the next season or two. The goal should be to be a true Stanley Cup contender in 5-10 years. Have to have a vision if you want to be great..
I don’t care how good your D is, if half of them are rookies, you are going to get caved in. I give Allvin credit, he sure knows how to ice a horrible team. I would 100% rather have a dog shit team, than one that thinks they are better than they objectively are, and go on a winning streak to narrowly miss the playoffs because of pride. In the team’s history they iced so many of those teams and ended up in no man’s land.
This is the way to go even if they draft #3.

Damn this season is like the opposite of 2011
Despite how bad we’ve been, we’re not even close to how awful some of the Chicago and sharks teams have been over the last few years. We’re pretty lucky actually that both of them are on the upswing or we would not be in last place.
Pretty embarrassing since we’re already locked into 3rd overall
Wasn’t even intentional. Next season will prove the mettle of this management group to follow through and stick to it.
