This is so egregious at this point. It’s so fucked up that propaganda skews perspectives on Luka. He will never win an MVP in this time line and it sucks!

2. I don’t really care tbqfwy. I’ll always appreciate his time here, but not only does he not play for my team anymore, he plays for one of the most evil franchises in all of sports, with one of the worst fan bases. I will never be cucked into rooting the Lakers.

3. I suspect this post will get deleted, it being a Mavericks sub. But yeah, the only way Luka wins an MVP is if he wins a championship. Probably two. I don’t care. MVP is not a personal achievement. It’s a popularity contest among sports journalists. An unfortunate byproduct of the 24/7 sports news cycle. The only reason it’s relevant is because we give it way too much attention.

4. i’m sure ill get downvoted but he was better in every single statistical category the year we went to finals. we finished 5th. Jokic won it & Denver was poised to repeat. SGA was second in voting & he took his team from 10th to 1st in one season.

   it may be bias against luka if his team was without a doubt THE best team in at least the Western Conference. but the lakers are 8 games out of 1st & earlier this year were the worst in point differential among the top 16 teams – which made many ppl think that the lakers team success was flukey / not solid.

   unfortunately for him, team success is a valid heuristic when it comes to MVP voting & if he literally had better stats with us & he didn’t win it then – he won’t win it now. but it’s not due to propaganda or what i’ve seen from other people a “lakers tax”

SGA is having an even better season than when he won it, Jokić is averaging a 28 point triple double (again), Wemby is doing other worldly things and should win defensive player and the Spurs are having an OKC-esque resurgence. Lukas fucking fantastic, but so are these other guys.

    He’s not voted for by guys like Wilbon and Jackson, because he hurts their feelings when he crushes their brothers. If Luka was a black man, he’d definitely already have an MVP.

    It’s also because he talks trash to the brothers, and then backs it up. The racists who got a vote absolutely hate to see it, so they punish Luka.

    Jackson left off Jokic and Luka completely from one of his ballots, picking 5 black guys over both Luka and Jokic. Among the ones he picked was Donovan Mitchell. That was in 2023, when Jokic and Luka had absolutely insane seasons. But the racists picked much inferior players, simply because of skin color.

    The racists made sure that Embiid got the MVP that year, over Jokic. Luka averaged 32.5, 8.5, 8, but only finished 8th in MVP voting, 8th, thanks to the racists.

    Wilbon has given almost no points to Luka at all over the years, in his MVP ballots. On aggregate, he has given more points to more than a dozen players.

    Blacks are allowed to be openly racist, so they are. They try to mask it with old and untrue tropes like “Luka doesn’t play defense”, which is simply a lie. But they are black, so they are allowed to lie, and allowed to lie about their true racist motivations. White people are too scared to call them out on it.
