Osamu Yada, aka “Yada Sensei,” receives his Championship Ring. Yada played an instrumental role in helping Yamamoto go the distance and ultimately become World Series MVP. Yamamoto has credited him with becoming the Dodgers ace we know today, saying of Yada, “He’s the person who built me.”

I’ve shared this Sankei article discussing Yada Sensei’s instrumental work during the World Series with Yamamoto several times, translated by u/Healthy_Ant_1051, but here it is again: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Dodgers/comments/1osa6em/todays_japanese_newspaper_yoshinobu_yamamotos/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dodgers/comments/1osa6em/todays_japanese_newspaper_yoshinobu_yamamotos/)
Excerpt:
>During Game 6 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays, Yamamoto pitched six innings, allowing only one run, and earned the win. As he smiled and said, “Thank you for everything this year,” Yada approached him and asked,
>**“Do you want to make sure you can throw in the bullpen tomorrow?”**
>“Yamamoto was surprised, but I had a feeling he might be needed in Game 7,” Yada recalled.
>**Yamamoto had pitched while feeling under the weather, complaining of a sore throat and other cold-like symptoms.** Yada wanted to remove any doubt about whether he could handle consecutive appearances.
>Back at the team hotel, Yada began treatment. When he left the room, it was past 2 a.m. He was confident Yamamoto could pitch, but thought, “In the end, it’s up to him.” A few hours later, Yamamoto contacted him: “Can you treat me once more before we head to the stadium?” Morning treatment during the season was unusual, but there was no sign of hesitation on Yamamoto’s face.
>On the day of Game 7, during practice after arriving at the stadium, Yada noticed, “He was throwing even better than yesterday, more naturally.” Yamamoto himself said, “When I threw in a way that wouldn’t cause any tightness or pain, I actually threw better pitches.” With that, he gave the team the go-ahead.
矢田先生、ありがとうございます。
The level of respect he shows others is unmatched
Next year he’s getting two rings, 1 for yama and 1 for mookie.
He is now helping rebuild Mookie too who had a an off year last year due to not being in game condition from the stomach bug
Thank you for your service Yada Sensei
Goku had Master Roshi and Yoshi has Yada Sensei
Keep this man on the payroll!
Yada sensei runs a clinic in Japan, so he has to fly back and forth between Japan and LA all the time. He definitely deserves more credit.
I love how Roberts bowed back.
He deserves it.

What about our guy Will?
Protect this man
Also hope he has a disciple somewhere to carry on his legacy
His presence is a credit to the organization which continues to be open minded to providing whatever the players need to succeed. Other teams might lock him out of the building; the Dodgers gave him a championship ring.
Roberts lost a chance at a Curb Your Enthusiasm role because his bow was too good.
Yada Yada Yada……. Three peat!! 🤞🤞🤞
“Watching people work at his clinic in Osaka is special,” said Galen Carr, the Dodgers’ vice president of player personnel and a fixture in international scouting. “They do things with their bodies — contortions and twisting and balance and strength — and it’s body weight, not stuff we do here. And somehow that kid throws 98 and he’s 5-10. … Maybe we can learn something from him.”
Other teams: Best we can do is bench press 300lbs and be average at best.

The Master Roshi of the Dodgers.
Yada should implement his techniques for all the pitchers
Yada over that green shriveled up alien with a speech impediment.
I expected him to backflip down the blue carpet or maybe float like a Jedi
So cool. One thing worth noting is how perfect Dave is with the bowing.
W Yada Sensei
So cool!
