I’m not sure I would want to part with that from a memorabilia standpoint. lol.
And while skeptical… get it in front of the right PR guy and they could easily make it profitable.
In person? No. If you ask via social media? There’s a legit chance.
There’s a very real chance they might. I used to work with gift certificates at a national grocery chain, and while old gift certificates rarely got redeemed, they had to be honored when presented because there was no expiration date placed on it. I dont see an expiration date on here, and this was obvipusly something that was purchased and created a legal liability to the Cubs for one seat at a ball game. It doesnt say what season it’s for, or anything like that…
Try. Honestly you’ve nothing to lose.
There is no expiration date on it.
I still have some connections with the Cubs and could ask for you if you’d like.
P. K. Wrigley…. so that is pre 1977.
It’s probably worth more than $4.50 as a collectable.
I have no idea if they will at Wrigley, but it reminds me of a story about Disney World. My mom, brother and sister went to Disney World when my mom was pregnant with me and got some 3 day park hopper passes. One of tje tickets was only used for 1 day, and my mom kept it for 20 some years. She went back with the pass hoping to get a discounted entrance, but they gave her 2 passes, no questions asked
Sure sure
i’ve got some cubs bucks.. sadly they are expired haha. this is awesome! no expiration date!!
I’d love to see it stay in the hands of another Cubs fan, specifically me. I have a bunch of Cubs cards, autos, souvenirs if you’d want to trade.
If you’re dying for a ticket, I could probably work that out for you too.
I guess I’m asking that you don’t cash it in at the gate if all you are looking for is a ticket because it’s a cool piece of memorabilia.
I tried searching for comps, and couldn’t find any so who knows what the value is.
Hmm. If you do try to use it, no interleague games. League games only! Rules is rules.
The biggest issue you would face is that it would be hard to verify that this is real because it is from so long ago. I wouldn’t expect it to be accepted quickly at the ticket office on a game day but if you were to email ahead, you may be able to arrange something ahead of time.
Like others, I think any team would gladly take the good PR at the cost of a single seat (particularly for any game that isn’t going to sell out). If I were in that ticketing department, I would try to arrange to not only get you a ticket for a game but also turn that into a bit of framed memorabilia for you as well.
