Breer: “Good chance” Bears will be better in 2026 than 2025!
Hosted by David Kaplan and Jonathan Hood
NFL insider Albert Breer gives a strong vote of confidence in the Chicago Bears, saying there’s a “good chance” the team will be better in 2026 than they were in 2025.
Kap and J Hood react to Breer’s outlook, breaking down what needs to go right for that improvement to become reality. From roster upgrades to internal development, the guys discuss whether the Bears are truly trending in the right direction.
Is this optimism justified — or are there still too many questions surrounding the team?

Nobody cares what Dan Orlovsky thinks lol
Can you imagine paying stroud 1 billion?!?!? Yikes
BEAR DOWN
love listening to this guy. Thank You
Don’t care for Kaplan or most of the Chicago sports media that much but as a Bears fan, I honestly believe that we will be better this season because we got the quarterback and the head coach. Ben Johnson, unlike Matt Nagy, has a hardcore mentality and specifically stated that “we’re tearing this shit down and starting over from scratch.” We thought we did something after the 2018 season and was garbage in 2019 and shouldn’t have made the playoffs in 2020. Because of Ben Johnson’s mentality, this season so going to be different. I don’t believe he’s going into this season charged up like he did last season but I do believe when we win a certain amount of games he’ll bring back that energy. BEAR DOWN!
The first billion contract will be baseball. In the NFL after the recent contracts of QB guarantee money that didn’t work out long term don’t think most owners will pay that much money unless it’s a Super Bowl winning QB.
Well, Orlovsky forgot where the endzone line was so there is that…..
How did Kenny Pickett work out??? He has down nothing in the league
Lol! Delusional.
Played sports. Love sports but I swear that men that watch and listen; specifically to sports radio, have given up on making women climax. Especially with how bad sports talk generally is in Chicago.
If it ever gets to a point where the contracts are going to be a quarterback is going to make 100 million a year then the best quarterbacks in the league their teams are going to be garbage and they'll never go deep into playoffs that's a fact
5:00 bro put WR before RB & LB 🤦🏿♂️
Right now they are not better….but worse…but let’s see what happens….the draft and I don’t think they are done
No. The QB missed passes is still a problem. Ben Johnson need to stop his QB from throwing off his back foot. The Bears are one of the top teams in 3 and out. Their defense is ranked 25. Their offense is not that much better.
Are the Bears better? Such a dumb question. Of course they are, especially after the draft. They are better because the QB will be much better, as will his receivers. And the defense will be better because it is faster and younger.
there is no point in asking if the defense is better than the end of the year if we haven’t even drafted yet, my god guys cmon
No Garrett, Peppers great examples, Clowney…. No, no, no, no, no sir, his name does not get mentioned with their names. Mack, Von Miller, White, but Clowney, no Sir. There is some BS floating around this draft. Bains arms are to short? So what he can Ball, Freeny had short arms, and was short, he could ball. If you can ball, you can ball. Peter Woods is to small, most of the best DT’s in history have been “to small”. It’s not the 2011 class, but it’s a little like it. You had LB’s who were super athletic getting moved to edge, had DT’s like Jurell Casey getting dogged for his size, All pro and 5x pro bowler, yeah he was under sized, also pretty damn good. They dogging Proctor, 6.7’ 350. Oh he’s to big, yeah Jason Peters was to big, going in the HOF, but to big. Proctors body mass composition is outstanding for his size. He’s not Stringer, that young man is built like a brick wall. Look at his arms and his legs, his stomach is half the size of Stringer. He carry’s his writ incredibly well. There is a reason Reid likes him. No there is no Von Miller, or Watt, but you do Have a Kerrigan type, and a Heyward type, and Casey, and a Quinn, and a Dareus, maybe a Houston, a Safety who is comparable at safety to what Peterson was at CB. There are some player.
