Packers’ Positional Needs, From Minimal to Maximum

  1. Shit article when half the positions are major needs. How is running back a major need? How is oline a maximum need?

  2. 1A. DL;
    1B. CB;
    2. LB;
    3. OL;
    4. RB;
    5. WR/TE

    With Parsons out for at least the first month of the season and probably not back to full speed until 2027, and relying on Van Ness to take a huge step (or Sorrel – who could be good), I’d put DL in front of CB.

  3. Our top 5 needs 1: corner 2: corner back 3: the position that stops receivers from catching the ball 4: esquinero 5: the position that Kesian Nixon plays

  4. Huber’s got a very strange definition of “loaded” for the LB position lol

    Anyway, CB is the #1 need and it isn’t remotely close. OL is important, but it isn’t even in the same conversation. No idea how he can argue that it isn’t the top need because the starters are “competent” when the same can be said about the OL except all of them are under contract control for three years. Terrible logic on his part.

  5. My view, for whatever it’s worth (so not a lot)…

    1. Nose tackle (very tight with CB, but a 3-4 is going to be a slog without a solid NT)
    2. Corner (again, could easily swap this with NT, it’s tight)
    3. Interior O-Line depth
    4. QB2
    5. Edge

    The future of the RB room does need addressed soon, so I could see that being more of a need than another edge player, given that once Parsons is back in (fingers crossed) week 5, that room immediately looks very strong again.

  6. We need every kind of big man and as many dart throws at corner we can afford. You still bring in RBs, WRs and LBs to round out depth and special teams but I don’t feel you pay much for a RB at this point as you had one you are paying already and the other spots we have invested already.

    I think you can never have enough O-linemen and last year we were not good at key spots like centre and left tackle much of the year. Most teams do not have good offensive lines but the best teams who win super bowls tend to have good lines on both sides. Just draft and sign big bastards and then try whatever you can at corner as I don’t see an easy slam dunk guy to grab there considering we don’t pick until the second round.
