The problem here is that Lamelo’s supermax contract isn’t worth the value right now. Maybe if he says healthy also next season, but you can expect Lamelo’s contract to end and Kon’s to get prioritized as a next supermax. I know Melo also won rookie of the year, but Kon’s rookie year has beaten Lamelo’s. Its galaxies apart and Kon is just a better player, better person.
We knew.
Casuals on r/NBA are the only ones who should be shocked by this.
I’m looking at this, and then I’m remembering the last 2 (most vital) games of the 2025-26 season and trying to square why they both exist
This is also why the Cody White trade was so good. Sexton was a good player but the non-Melo minutes were killing us. We needed a true PG who could also get his own shot.
All I’m seeing from this is that Moussa is a much better 3 point shooter with Melo off the floor
I mean it’s obvious LaMelo makes this offense Go!
We become stagnant whenever he’s on the bench.
Remember though guys, he isn’t a winning player. Always remember that when looking at stats that say otherwise. If you say it enough eventually it has to be true, right? RIGHT??!
It’s always been Melo’s team, but there was 100% something about Kon that got to Melo.
Melo is not the same kid was his first few years in the league
