  1. Ok – let me jump in here and tell you why this hire is unlike any raiders have made these last 25 years.

I work high level in the high tech world – pure engineering and business. I can PROMISE you the words that left Klint’s mouth would have gotten him hired onto any of my teams. When he said play calling and other things was a “team” decision- that’s the music any manager ceo wants to hear.

When klint got hired, I wondered if he had “it”. I wonder a lot of things looking at every hire, Each of their histories, WHO each of them worked and learned under (all the things I do before I call an engineer in for interview). Klint has solid background – no doubt, but you have to keep digging to find that convincing feature that puts your mind at ease and lets you know it’s going to be great. Klint said those magic words. Teamwork. This is no joke.

Another I like is attention to detail. I made sure every training session was pellucid. I made sure by walking around, meeting with engineers and having them explain every detail to me (I had always already knew all designs, pros cons of designs in advance), THEY KNEW EVERYTHING they needed to know. This is progress and success. This is what KLINT KUBIAK brings to the table. There won’t be players or coaches running around confused (like we witnessed in the march madness when a team only had 4 players on the court).

In my many years – I can tell you the massive failure rate “my way or the highway “ gets you. Pete Carroll was that out of the gate. Worse he hired his kids and when others didn’t like it – he said no one cares what you think, I’m the boss and there wont be any changes. Pete refused to let other coaches suggest putting in better players. I told you way back when he was hired – it was a huge fail. I told you sell the farm and bet the under when Kelly was hired.

Guess what? I’m not betting this year. This is hands down the best I have seen (fa moves and coaching hires). What’s left is the draft. Let’s see if we take advantage of it (even moving up) or we do something stupid (trying to look impressive) and trade out of the top of the second round to the end then draft a 4th round receiver.
