“[Ben] Johnson isn’t happy with the offensive staff for how they didn’t coach WRs to get open enough. Emphasized getting back to fundamentals in OTAs on catching the ball to address drop issues.”

  1. Its the exact opposite, LT depth is weak in this class. There's a couple of good ones, but they will be gone by 25. DT may not have that "top end talent" but they have lots of depth. We showed last year we can piece together the LT spot thanks to the TE's and our All Pro LG… but that DL struggles something fierce and DA doesn't have the guys he needs to call the defense he likes to call. We didn't see DA's system last year. This offseason has to be about getting him the players he needs. Offense wins games, Defense wins championships.

    S -> DE -> DT -> C -> LB -> LT -> CB -> WR -> OG -> RB -> TE -> QB

  2. Odunze has never been a good route runner because he's not a quick twitch athlete and last year we saw that his hands aren't even good. I think he's a number 3 on this team after Loveland and Burden.

  3. If he's healthy, Jedric Wills is a better LT than Proctor because he has better feet and moves better. No way Bears should draft Proctor in first. They need a pass rusher at DE. The only guy who could be a difference maker at 25 would be Mesidor. He is older and has had foot injuries but if he passes the medical he's by far the best choice there. He can also move in to 3-tech on passing downs and is good against the run.

  4. 3rd in drops, and when I rewatch some of those plays, there were at least 20% that, for some reason, did not count as a drop. If the LT is there, take him. You can still get DT, ED, and S with those 3 next picks, and there might be room to drop a bit each of those rounds, get more assets, and still get the players you want.

  5. The offseason is so depressing so far. Our defense didn't really improve, we let great people walk that didnt even demand huge contracts… Had to fill a center position that was an assumed lock, and now potentially using draft capital on another LT? Stars gotta align to win superbowls, and so far this isn't ideal.

    Still love my team, appreciate you HG. Bear Down
