Its difficult for people to admit Zion has actually been playing well. He isn’t scoring 30ppg, he isn’t bringing down 10+rebs, and the Pels aren’t winning – but he looks solid out there on both sides of the court.
Maybe this is just a play on upping his trade value; I would love to see him actually shoot the ball more often. But his usage has also been way down, and that seems like more of a strategy than anything else – not that its working, necessarily, but also not something to outright blame him for, either
Sick…now show us his 3PA
Great, cool, nice.
He’s the 28th highest paid player in the league, 25 years old, in his 6th season. He should be a perennial all-star and challenging for an All-NBA spot.
His defense has been better but he’s clearly not an elite defender. This stat seems like random noise/luck.
He’s been playing better overall, and is healthy, which is huge.
His usage is way down and thus his numbers are down.
I think we can disagree on whether he should be in the team or not, but the team will do what it wants. If they keep him I hope he can improve his overall game.
I’m glad he’s improving. It took 7 years to do it but I’m glad he is. Now if he can fix his offensive play to keep him from putting unnecessary stress on his body then we will be fine
This stat is meaningless.
Please move Zion this offseason!
It obviously has not worked, nor will it work going forward!
Many lower tier players with much smaller contracts contribute more to winning than Zion.
None of these are hot takes! Some specific stat doesn’t overturn more than half a decade of this shit.
25 – 51
Zion plays well when he’s playing. We’ve seen this at least twice in the past where Zion carries the shit out of the pelicans like we all thought he would when we drafted him then he gets injured right before the playoffs
You don’t get paid for engagement so I’m very confused by the title
