  1. When you are considering DL for the Bears options you NEED to consider the body types that Dennis Allen wants. DA doesn’t want hulking, run stuffing, nose tackles. He clearly looks for speedy, gap shooting tackles.

  2. Ryan Poles would be chased out of Chicago if that's what the Bears did. I reckon Big Orange is on his second team by year 3 and he's going to go in the 4th round at the earliest. DDS isn't a 2nd round talent either, their 3rd round pick at around 89. It's a deep class at safety, with Stukes and Scott likely to play there in the NFL. Bears can wait on safety to round 2 or even round 3.

They have to get an impact edge at 25, they can't go into the season with Sweat, Davo and Booker as the veterans with a development project on the edge, it's got to be Faulk, Young or Parker in that spot. They still need to develop them, but those three are more ready to step in on day 1 and play to a decent level.

Dennis Allen is the DC, as your draft played out, Bears should go Zion Young at 25, Treydan Stukes at 57 and Kyle Louis at 60. Dennis Allen would love the chess pieces to move around.

  3. The Browns aren’t passing up a blue chip defender (and slight need) like Downs at 6 (assuming Tate is off the board) for LT hopeful Spencer Fano. While I personally like Fano and believe his interior-position fallback makes sense long term for Cleveland, that type of value (in this draft) is something projected closer to pick #24. Furthermore, if Berry is going to reach for a left tackle who needs further seasoning before making a positive impact in 2026 and approaching his ceiling, he’s going to get that guy at #24, on a guy like Proctor, Miller or Lamu. And even then, I could see him waiting if a bigger, sure-handed receiver like Denzel Boston is on the board.

Sam, you can downplay Fano’s short arms all you want, but Berry won’t, and neither will Warhop. Speaking of downplaying, Berry won’t downplay Proctor like you do. I don’t know if he likes Kayden at left tackle, but Berry clearly likes that size for his linemen. After (sort of) hitting on Dawand Jones, he’s shown a preference for size. See: Using a team 30 meeting on Markel Bell, to date the only O-lineman they’ve had on a 30 visit this year. Also, the Browns met with Proctor at the combine. (They also met with Caleb Lomu, Blake Miller, and Francis Mauigoa in Indy). Outside of Mauigoa, none of those guys are going to sniff the top 15.

It normally annoys me when people say a mock draft is “ruined” or “invalid.” But if this is a “what would we do” mock then clarify this at the start and both of you treat it that way. Otherwise, we get this junk, a mock where one of you treats it as a “what would they do”, and one who views it as a “what would I do.” Sam’s “It’s more me than them, though. It’s my mock” clearly indicates he’s not really interested in doing any sort of critical thinking today. Which is fine, but then why should any of us tune in?

“What would we do” drafts can be fun, because it allows the mock drafters to engage in a conversation of why they would make a pick, and even compare it vs. what the team in question would likely do. For mock drafters who know little about football, the value of such an approach isn’t great. But for folks who do know the league, like you guys, it can be interesting and valuable.

On the other hand, I realize “what we think they will do” type drafts are not your strong suit. I enjoy you both, but you’ve long since ignored numerous team and GM-dependent indicators—some of which are public and well known—of what teams value in the players they draft. I appreciate your knowledge and evaluations of players themselves, but for a couple analysts who have experience working directly with teams, you seem pretty unaware of many team-specific approaches, checkpoints, etc.

Here’s a draft suggestion: Do a two-round mock, but make your picks prior to the livestream. One of you do a “what I think teams will do” version and the other do a “what I would do” version. Then bring them to the livestream, compare them, and explain your reasoning behind the choices you made. That would be far more interesting, relevant, and closer to your speed than just sitting and winging a draft, seemingly not even on the same page with regards to what type of draft you’re even doing.

  4. I just don't understand why the saints wouldn't take love if he's there , Etienne is 27 , with a bunch of touches , if u can get that backfield of love & Etienne for 2 yrs wich is all his contract is guaranteed for , then maybe u rework it or trade him or who knows but u would still have love for 3 more on a cheap deal , plus its a fit for wr help 2 cause they both catch & run , it's like drafting the best player on the board plus a good slot wr , just don't see them passing on him or styles for an outlier, not saying bain isn't good but BPA & fill needs at the same time u can't pass on styles & love & downs , just don't get it, lol yall r nuts !!

  5. Emmanuel McNeil Warren is Jaquan Brisker again. I don't think that's what Dennis Allen wants, which is why Poles didn't resign Brisker.

  6. I love how they have to keep pretending that Ty Simpson will just sit there for the whole 1st round. The days of only one QB going in the 1st round are done.

  7. The Pack are predictable, then they draft Matthew Golden in the first round 😂.
Look at their 30 player visits and look who they webs to drafting lol.
I don't think it really hurts anything. It's not like they are the only team thats in love with freak athletes.
Big on Golden though, he's got superstar potential. potential
    – p o t e n t I a l – 😅

  8. You guys don’t realize that WR is still one of the 49ers biggest needs. Considering Mike Evans is essentially only on a one year deal, SF only has Ricky Pearsall, Jacob Cowing, and Jordan Watkins under contract for 2027. John Lynch pretty much confirmed yesterday that the 49ers are going to draft a WR at some point in the draft.

  9. 1:57:30 Surely you're not so intellectually challenged that you're conflating a "drop off in talent" with the ebbs and flows of team needs vs. the board. Of course the talent isn't equal across the board, but don't assume "consensus" rankings are worth anything.

  10. the texans already have a CB3 to play over tremon smith. they traded up in the 3rd round last year to draft jaylin smith out of USC. can play inside or outside and looked promising as the third corner behind stingley and lassiter. demeco even threw in some dime formations with him outside and lassiter inside with pitre. problem with jaylin was that he couldn't stay on the field. i could definitely still see caserio and co taking another corner for depth/insurance purposes, but probably not in the first two rounds unless a bigger name falls (definitely not igbunosonđŸ€ź)

  11. why would the Giants draft a #2 WR at #5 overall even IF he was the highest rated player on the board…which he isn't. makes no…zero…sense.
