  1. Hey big Perk if you’re so high on Wemby, why don’t you call it that the Spurs are gonna win the championship all these people talk about the blocks they need to do the research. There’s been plenty of guys before him. That’s average way more than he’s doing right now.

  2. Remember Wemby is only avg 29 mpg and 8 to 9 SAS are averaging 10+. They are deep thier youth will help them in a deep playoff run as they won't be as tired . And the biggest thing is they want it playing like they have a chip on thier shoulder. They are a complete team.

  3. Luka Dončić should be the MVP. Not in a debate, not in a “close race”. he should win it.

He’s averaging 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. That alone puts him in historically rare territory. This isn’t just volume scoring it’s total offensive control. Every possession runs through him, and he still produces at an elite level across the board.

The defense criticism needs to be framed correctly. No, he’s not a lockdown defender, but the idea that he’s some traffic cone is just flat-out wrong. He’s 7th in the entire NBA in steals,(yes 7th! I kow it’s hard to believe bc who ever is reading this is probably a sucker for what the media says) which obviously doesn’t tell the whole story, but it does show activity, instincts, and engagement. You don’t end up top 10 in steals while being a terrible defender. And especially since the All-Star break, the effort has clearly been there. At worst, he’s an average defender right now and when you’re having one of the most absurd offensive seasons we’ve ever seen, that is more than enough for MVP.

Also, a lot of people are saying that just because he went on this 11 game stretch doesn’t mean he should be the MVP, that it’s a full season award. That is the most ridiculous thing ever. Even before the stretch, he was having one of the greatest seasons we’ve ever seen, and this just cemented it. He was already leading the league in scoring while putting up 8 and 8 alongside it. This didn’t create his case, it proved it beyond argument.

In case people need proof of this, he has two Western Conference Player of the Month awards. That’s sustained excellence across multiple stretches of the season, not a fluke run.

At the end of the day, MVP is about who is the most valuable, most impactful, and most unstoppable player over the course of the season. No one checks all three boxes like Luka.

  4. Wolves are the nightmare matchup for any team in the west.
During the regular season they've coasted and made the top 6
Just like the last 2 years.
Then the playoffs start and they hit another level on defense.

  5. Wemby is great but calling him the best passing bigman san antonio history is a stretch. David Robinson, Tim Duncan and Doris Diaw might have something to say.

  6. I'm sorry man but, I'm skeptical about a team like the Spurs who are so young and have no playoff experience on their side. All those season wins don't mean anything if you get knocked out in 1st or 2nd round.

  7. I would be confident in San Antonio if they gave the keys to DFox but he come off the ball mostly. During the playoffs, DFox will be the most important player. Just like Jdub for OKC and Tatum for Boston.

  8. Omg stop overrating this guy before he has even done anything!! Even Lebron failed on the big stage. Wemby has done NOTHING!

  9. Regarding the Wolves, I can agree with Perkins on this at least. I have NFI who the Wolves are. They're like 2 teams.. bi-polar. They've been together for multiple seasons now but seemingly haven't improved.
