Can you imagine Curry with his current physique early in his career.

I don’t think he drinks Prime.
2021-2022 after he took the whole season off from breaking his hand. remember what he did to Damian Lillard after he dropped 60 on us?
2021-2023
Steph early career had stamina to run 3 miles a night. Steph mid/late career added muscle allowed him to become a good defender.
IMO he is one of the most unique NBA players in history because he’s had two primes so to speak. 2016(age 28) & 2021 (age 33) are both peaks of each prime. It’s an interesting debate because obviously nothing beats the 2016 season but 2021/2022 he was the most complete player we’ve seen.
He was starting to bulk up around 2019, really looking strong and different on his drive in 2021.
It’s a give and take because he was also much faster during his 2014-18 runs too. But the added strength really helped more on defense in Playoffs and getting to the rim.
2021 season was a wash because they didn’t had much talent. But 2022 Playoffs come around and you can see he be driving hard on guys where previously he would just trying to find an angle. There was a game I can’t recall when exactly but he was matched up with Jrue Holiday on the Bucks for majority of game and even came up with a clutch block against Jrue.
He also blocked Ja Morant in Playoff game too iirc
Unfortunately for athletes the muscles aren’t the problem as they age. The problem is the connective tissue and joints. I can say as a 50-year old man I’m in the best shape of my life in terms of muscular development but pro athletes wear down all the other shit by constantly grinding night after night for years and even decades on end.
He’s a shooter, not a guy that would dunk or perform acrobatic layups, so physicality was never his strength.
In terms of what he improved. He did work on his arm strength to help him fight through contact and use less of his legs to shoot. Also built his calves to help reduce ankle issues and improve stability on his shooting motion.
It’s called development and growing into your body. Steph is an excellent example of what talent and correct player development can become.
We’ll look back at his career and marvel at the rise of sport science in the late 2000s and early 2010s and use Stephen Curry and Lebron James as examples in future textbooks.
I personally think the curve has shifted. Especially for elite athletes like Steph…so yeh, anywhere from 2020 to 2024 probably. He’s passed it that’s for sure.
2020 flat top curry, it was just bad timing. In a lot sports 28-32 is typically the absolute physical prime years
