1. Patrick is great and I love the guy, but lets be objective on him here. He has missed a lot of deep ball and outside the hashes. He has missing a lot of easy passes or has thrown it behind the Wr or Te. Nobody will wants to criticize him, he is getting older and hes going to have to play with better mechanics/footwork, like he did when he was hurt during that 2022 playoff run.

2. Cognitive dissonance. Rather than be dismissive of what Reid said, please list the AFC teams with whom you would trade WR rooms for the upcoming season.

3. I feel like less Preseason Games is bad…and more regular seasons game is also bad…😂 4 Preseason and 16 Regular season games was the sweet spot for me.

4. I remember clearly the disaster of replacement refs in 2012. After the 3rd week of the regular season, with all of the horrific calls culminating in the Fail Mary disaster, the NFL quickly pivoted and brought back the refs immediately. We do not need that again. I agree, Cole, the sides should meet in the middle. I do hope that it happens quickly. Also, I personally think that refs should get benefits like health insurance. The NFL makes so much money, health insurance like other employees receive is reasonable.

   Regarding Refs. Yes made mistakes but reasonable mistakes, in last 50 some years, but thru the years…in MY OPINION, refereeing has become worse..
   I think playing less qualified refs for social reasons, or just an older group trouble running thinking seeing and deciding…. I dont see any drop off with college referees…they are younger, can run, eyes are faster. Make decisions faster. Brain faster.

   So NFL RA want more money. They are less accurate in calls and missed calls, than 6y ago. Maybe just refs old.
   Yes new rules, lots to think about, while running… so I hope they bring college refs.

17. Worthy missed on several deep ball opportunities. I mean, you have to stay in bounds to be eligible to catch a ball. Let’s just say that ball tracking is not one of his top attributes. The Chiefs haven’t had a credible downfield ball tracking threat since Tyreek Hill. A player like that will always make QB one better. I mean, it made to a an all pro for at least one year, lol!

18. Cole, for the first time, I have to fully agree with the NFl. The game needs full time refs more training, and accountability. Compare how much the mlb and nba refs get paid per game with the nfl refs. Make the nfl refs pay the same per game as this. 6.5 % pay raise is very reasonable in the real world. The nfl refs have no leg to stand on. Their performance last year was really bad and I would even question if they deserve a raise at all. In most jobs, you have at least an annual job review and your pay raise is based on this. The NFL refs are no better than this.

    The success of most QBs depends heavily on their first read winning – requiring elite receivers. Otherwise they just try to survive the play and go on to the next.

    Mahomes' performance beyond the first read would be elite even on the first, absolutely insane for subsequent reads. Mahomes is just different. But this has important implications for how to build the WR room, preferring multiple competent receivers over exorbitant spending (draft or cap) on elite ones.

21. The problem with Worthy is he runs a 4.5 40yard in game because he's too small and with pads and a helmet on he just isnt that fast and catn get open in man coverage. Sammy Watkins and D Robinson deep balls were amazing and didnt need Hill to hit those guys.

23. I honestly don’t see any way the refs could get any worse. I don’t understand how in 2026, with all the technology, lights and cameras, a bad call can’t be reversed or the opposite to catch something should have been called. I know it’s hard to be perfect, but it could be a lot better. I think at the very least, there should be a warning for some of these penalties, like when a defensive end comes crashing through and accidentally bumps the QB, or when a CB gets called for pass interference, when it clearly wasn’t intentional, or holding penalties. I just think there’s a difference between egregious and accidental. Just pull a player aside, let them know they messed up, and next time they will get called. It’s that simple. The UFC has been doing it for years.

24. Split the difference 8% raise, it's called negotiation and compromise! Also, I don't think College refs will be better, but I'm not really sure it would be worse. NFL refs are arguably just as bad as their college counterparts. In my opinion.

    With concussion issues.. and injuries.. or you can have them only play 16 games.. it’s all about strategy..
    they need the eye in the sky be able to see penalties and tell the refs to drop a flag.. I think you need more refs.. think you got 5 move it to 6 or 7 to help see more things.,

31. I didn't think the refs have done a good enough job the last 2 years to get a 10% across the board raise. There are some good ones and good calls but there are some stinkers too. Is NFL ref still a part time gig for some of these guys?

Deep balls are hard to complete especially without a proper receiver…Tyreek and let’s not forget Demarcus Robinson were able to run down many long ones…lately Pat has just a) not been comfortable in pocket and b) not had a stud receiver…it’s time to snag one in this draft cause there are a few available for sure …Denzel Boston is my pick !!! Also say what you will about Worthy but he has proven he can catch the ball ! And make tuff catches and take hits too…he is a valuable weapon no doubt.

34. I’m wondering, since the league fines players for various things after the game, why can’t the NFL fine refs when they make bad calls or no calls? I mean, if the players are going to be held to high levels, why can’t the refs be held too? It might put this Chiefs paying refs controversy to rest.

Kelce will probably still lead team in catches. Walker will be interesting to see where he fits in. You probably go beast mode trying to fix Dline, edge and CB. 45. I watched every game last season and I was screaming that if PM15 made the Clark Kent throws (like his misses to Worthy and Thorton) then PM15 wouldn't need the superman cape. PM15 was off bad on hitting open WRs…those throws are not "low percentage" for an All Pro QB! Not even low percentage for …say …Joe Flacco
