I thought this article was a good breakdown of the Jackets struggles over the last week.

I think the points about lineups has been most prescient, with the young guys once again being pushed down the lineup for older guys who are just as mistake prone. The line “Adding 30+ year olds in [the young players] place and to not make the playoffs would be an outright disaster“ is unfortunately something the team will have to think about moving forward.

  1. Coyle and Garland were on ridiculous heaters and we had an unusual run of good health minus Miles Wood who is a 4th liner. It was going to end but it is ending 5 games too early.

  2. Pittsburgh just dropped 8 on a team we could barely muster a couple shots against. Take notes guys, that’s how you’re supposed to play when you want to make the playoffs

  3. What younger players have been pushed? Fantilli and Marchenko haven’t. Johnson, sure, but he’s been pretty bad this year, so why not play Marchment, Garland, etc. higher in the lineup than him? We really aren’t a young team overall.
