Ben Johnson SOUNDS OFF On Caleb Williams & 2026 Chicago Bears Offense

Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson spoke to NFL Media and praised Bears QB Caleb Williams and spoke on what he expects from the Bears offense in 2026. Johnson took the Bears to new heights and got the Bears their first playoff win since 2010 last season, but is ready to turn the page to 2026. What’s next for the Bears led by Johnson and Williams? Johnson called himself and the Bears coaching staff out for not doing a good enough job for scheming receivers open last season. Can the Bears build off having a Top 10 offense last year? On today’s Bears Now by Chat Sports, Harrison Graham discusses what Ben Johnson had to say about Caleb Williams and breaks down what is next for the Chicago Bears offense in 2026.

Ben Johnson On Caleb Williams:
“That’s the beauty of Caleb Williams [on teams having film of him]. It’s a little bit unpredictable. And so as structured as we want to be at times, I think he does a great job of just his natural reaction being a very difficult thing to defend. Where Caleb comes in handy is he can bail us out when we are wrong, which we’re going to be wrong each and every game. I’m going to miss-time some calls or they’re going to throw something at us that we weren’t prepared for. And that’s on him and his athletic ability to bail us out.”

  1. Both are a loss … center is key imo given we have depth and talent at WR receiving room as a whole. Gonna miss a reliable interior lineman for 18

  2. I’d be very happy if Caleb is rated in the top 7 and voted MVP in the Super Bowl. Is that asking too much? I honestly don’t think it is.

  3. They were not very good when scrambling which was pretty surprising given Caleb Williams talent and tape to that point last year. Maybe turning him into a pocket passer under center with his back turned took a lot of focus. I expect they’ll be much better and expect more from their OC and wr coach
