  1. Pelley: “I don’t deal with hockey operations, decisions by the GM or coach, day to day activities, trades, team culture, player issues, locker room mentalities and basically everything else that actually makes this team a cup contender. I strictly deal with the structure of MLSE…”

    Reporter: “So what’s the structure?”

    Pelley: “I don’t know…I’ll have to ask other people….”

    lol wut??

  2. Money ball! Every winning team finds an extra goal that could win any game because of HEART. Data is not the answer alone. A player who does not produce points can change momentum and make a negative situation have a greater probability of success. Examples can include Wendel Clark, Darcy Tucker, Bobby Baun playing on a broken ankle. Without this heart, chances of success get much smaller.

  3. This guy says a lot without saying anything. Sounds like a politician and not a particularly good politician… And let’s start with his statement “ we have 6 general managers “ move on from this guy I say.

  4. i hope the "board of owners" sees this disgusting excuse for a press conference. he said literally nothing and gave us no hope at all. i hope he is fired today and i will never let this team see another dollar of my familys money 🙂

keeping brad on through the trade deadline is borderline stock tanking or complete malpractice of his responsibilities.

  5. He mentioned the generational pillars the team has now. One perspective of the Gudas/Matthews situation is that the team, lacking respect for Matthews as their team leader, demonstrated it by doing nothing in support. It is apparent to me that Nylander is not connected with the team's defensive requirements and plays his game and not the team's game. John Tavares is winding down an excellent career. The team needs new pillars. Get these pillars by dealing with the ones you have now to form a new foundation.

  6. WE NEVER SAW THE SABRES AND MONTREAL COMING?!!! Dude WE ALLLLLLL saw them coming for years how the hell can you possibly say that?! It’s a load of crap deflect deflect oh it’s not my job to know who to play at LW or be a gm… DUDE YOU ARE THE TOP OF IT ALL WAY TO NOT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY completely garbage what a weenie

  7. This dude sounds like a clown who has no idea what he's dealing with. Mentioning about how both Buffalo and Montreal just came out really well. THEY TOOK ACTUAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND ACTUALLY TOOK ACTION THAT THEY WEREN'T JUST SAYING IT WITH WORDS. Keith Pelley should automatically get out of Toronto. This dude cares more about his fam and money rather than actually caring about trying to improve what this team has been missing for 60 years

  8. Nylander and Matthews aren’t getting any younger. I just don’t see management adding pieces to this team that will make it a playoff contender again in such a short period of time. The team isn’t missing one piece to the puzzle, we’re missing depth scoring, puck moving defensemen, top2 Dmen, and etc..
